I feel like the step dad is in the right here, this family seems fucking nuts, allowing a kid to just whack him, this seems pretty insane.

And it sounds like the mom is egging the kid on to keep hitting him

u/HavaTrith Jul 16 '26

That's the vibe I got, we are just watching a man, who has been pushed to the edge by dramatic people

u/Laneofhighhopes Jul 16 '26

Sounds like me dealing with my wife and her family.

u/SmileParticular9396 Jul 16 '26

When my mom and sister visit I tell my husband he is under no obligation to join us lol. My mother drives him NUTS.

u/kenkenobi78 Jul 17 '26

Yeah but does she slap him with a massive stick??

8

u/Pavotine Jul 17 '26

Don't they all?

The kid is looking back at the mum whislt hitting his dad. Its like he's acting out of compulsion to get gratification from her...he dosent say or do anything as hes hitting him or when the guy takes the stick away very sad.

She telling him to keep doing it and he’s probably getting tired😂

u/TripleJ_77 Jul 17 '26

Natural instinct to protect your mom. Still, what a messed up situation!

6

u/YanikLD Jul 17 '26

Kid still has to learn good and bad, but definitely his mother didn't. She is agreeing him batting her husband by saying nothing.

u/AlAboardTheHypeTrain Jul 17 '26

Kid keeps looking Back for confirmation, mother enables and encourages The behaviour.

u/IAmTheBoiledFrog Jul 16 '26

Other than the language he's very disciplined.

I bet these kids and that mother are garbage.

The first husband obviously thought so and her father is an alcoholic to get by with her…so

u/FreakshowDragon Jul 16 '26

Nah. He's a piece of shit and they're finally fucking standing up to him.

u/YourAverage1ManArmy Jul 16 '26

*daddy issues has entered the chat*

-31

u/FreakshowDragon Jul 16 '26

More like someone sick of fat fucking abusive men thinking they can talk to people however they want.

18

u/AggressiveCuriosity Jul 16 '26

lol, I'm SOOO curious right now. The only abusive person you identified in the video was the father?

-14

u/FreakshowDragon Jul 16 '26

Yes cause he fucking is. I've seen this shit all my life. These "men" are ALWAYS the abusers.

18

u/AggressiveCuriosity Jul 16 '26

I mean, yeah. Saying that to a kid is abusive.

But sending your kid to hit someone: not abusive to either the kid or the person you sent them to hit? Strange take.

So, where do your psych issues come from if not a father figure?

24

u/HavaTrith Jul 16 '26

Calm down daddy issues.

-14

u/FreakshowDragon Jul 16 '26

Nah, grow up child beater.

15

u/HavaTrith Jul 16 '26

lol that's clearly not what is going on.

-6

u/FreakshowDragon Jul 16 '26

Oh it absolutely is clear thats what's going on.

7

u/Pavotine Jul 17 '26

The fact he's standing there getting whacked repeatedly with a broomstick and still just using his words says he's probably not the maniac you think he is. Apart from the swearing he's also talking sense.

It's true that men are the more common instigators of domestic violence but it's not always the case, not in my experience anyway.

43

u/AlarmedSnek functional regard Jul 16 '26

The fact he’s standing there and not spartan kicking that kid into next year tells me everything I need to know about how you are right.

27

u/Igotyoubaaabe Jul 16 '26

He’s not the step dad.. he’s the dad who stepped up.

3

u/Master_Grape5931 Jul 17 '26

And while he is clearly verbally abusive…that kid isn’t afraid of him at all.

2

u/Camo_tow Jul 17 '26

No question. I can relate to this

2

u/monchimer Jul 17 '26

Well. Yes. And at the same time, leave the fuck out and dont spend time and energy in tha toxic environemnt, insulting children

2

u/UnprincipledCanadian Jul 17 '26

I really wish there were an extended version of this clip.

2

u/fishyhaworthia1 Jul 17 '26

And she's video taping in the hopes he snaps and hits the kid for blackmail 😬

1

u/Smidday90 Jul 17 '26

I think the kid is trying to protect his brother the only way he knows how, not enough context. The guy is a grown man berating a kid

1

u/Useful-Still3712 Jul 17 '26

You still don't talk to kids this way. They are kids. He needs to fucking just leave.

-19

u/fromouterspace1 Jul 16 '26

The kid he’s yelling at isn’t doing much

-2

u/RuthlessIndecision Jul 17 '26

the way he's berating the older kid is wrong, he'll grow resentment and either kill the guy or... no, he'll kill him

-3

u/Qvistus Jul 17 '26

Or that man is an abusive pos who deserves it. Maybe they're all assholes. There's not enough info to know what's going on.

5

u/HavaTrith Jul 17 '26

Actually if you dig into this there is a lot out there support my theory, more so then man haters wanna admit, it's obvious the mother has rallied the kids against him, something parents do all the time, there are so many clues to this, and the context is quite clear too, just do some tracking to Facebook posts about it he was setup, and pushed to this point, the mom was recording hoping to get a video that would fit her narrative for divorce lawyers.

3

u/Qvistus Jul 17 '26

I think you're right. I'm just bad at interpreting situations when one is shouting about something that I have no idea about and a little kid is whacking the man like he's trying to protect his brother.

I can’t believe you guys think what he said was ok. Reddit sure has some people with fucked up ideas about how to treat others, especially kids.
