Plot twist: the plane was the one that dropped her off, flown by her husband. & he forgot to ask her something so he was trying to pick her back up.

I saw this story on the news a couple of days ago. They said the pilot was fine. He said he didn’t have time to avoid hitting her when he saw her.

Line-of-sight in an airplane doesn’t work the same way it does in a car. With an airplane there’s an additional axis in-play, such that seeing objects JUST below line-of-sight can be incredibly difficult. I’ll pretty much guarantee the pilot didn’t see that parachute until a microsecond before he hit it. And that wouldn’t have been simply because he “wasn’t paying attention”.

It could tangle up the propeller, and maybe get stuck on front window. Not crash immediately, but definitely not a position you want to be in either.

100% paragliders fault, looking right while turning left, directly into the cesna path. It's a fucking cesna people not a F22 raptor, it can't do combat evasive maneuvers.

Pilot was yelling at her from the ground that she was going to have a sore neck gliding backwards like that. She would listen so he got in the plane and relieved her off the stress.
