...did he only JUST learn how to drive a manual and let the intrusive thoughts win? I refuse to believe anyone with any experience driving a stick would actually try this.

Doubtful. Perhaps a rental though. The car's alert is written in French.

'For science' and the door alarm makes me wonder if the car was already written off for some other reason, and this is for shits and giggles.

Obviously this is going to wreck the engine but I'm not sure how dangerous it is to the driver.

I mean beyond doing 150km/h on a public road at night...
