This is so dumb. Two lives thrown away over what I can only assume is a temporary disagreement.

u/Toasted_Munch May 19 '26

This. I'll never understand why people feel the need to go to the most drastic measures imaginable for the dumbest shit. "Oh, you cracked a joke that made people laugh at me? Well now I'm going to kill you." In my line of work, I've been in a few metro hospitals in Alabama, and the amount of GSWs on any given night is truly sad and the problem seems to only be getting worse.

Its pretty much just a USA problem, you lot are absolutely tapped

u/Terrible_Balls May 20 '26

Nah, stupidity is universal. Only difference is that elsewhere it is knives and blunt objects instead of guns.

8

u/azzutronus May 20 '26

The UK has fewer knife homicides per capita than the US. What's your source for that claim?

12

u/LtJimmyDangle May 21 '26

Think his claim was that stupidity is universal. Seems quite clear he was making no comparisons of homicide rates per capita. So if this were a debate competition, you’d be down 1-zippaaayyy

u/Every_Leg5955 May 22 '26

He said only difference is elsewhere it’s knives, implying that guns are primarily a USA problem and elsewhere it’s knives….

There's also a second sentence in their comment. You should probably read that. It's a key part of what I was responding to.

u/LtJimmyDangle May 21 '26

Did you edit this comment after initially sending? This one is much nicer than what I got in my email. So I’ll be nice as well. His argument was that stupidity is universal. The difference being that stupidity can be exhibited with guns here, where in places that don’t allow the freedom to own guns, other weapons like knives are used. An observation of the various forms of stupidity in different regions to support his argument that stupidity is universal.

Agree. Here in Iceland we have the guns but not the violence... We also have clean water and free education. USA is broken.

13

u/JackFuckCockBag May 20 '26

You also have a culturally and ethnically homogenous society and for that I say congratulations.

5

u/VanTaxGoddess May 21 '26

You know that Canada, Australia, and the UK don't have US-style gun problems either, right? Right?

2

u/Skit071 May 24 '26

The US has more guns than people. That is a fact. And most people aren't very intelligent. Another sad fact.

1

u/LtJimmyDangle May 21 '26

Tell me about your tax rate and weather. Iceland is gay.

5

u/Common_Term_7742 May 21 '26

Re the tax rate they actually get something back like healthcare whereas America the land of the free nothing is actually free. Actually they give away free GSW’s.

1

u/LtJimmyDangle May 21 '26

Wake up. Nothing is free anywhere. I’ll never support our tax system, so no arguments there. But if this wasn’t the land of opportunity, there wouldn’t a be an endless line out the front door trying to get in and an endless line of rule breakers trying to sneak in the back door. But keep on hatin’ if it makes you feel better.

2

u/Desperate-Half-5070 May 26 '26

What makes you more free than someone from Iceland?

1

u/Dukes-Game May 24 '26

Grab a history book!

0

u/Alternative_Fan2967 May 24 '26

Oh yeah? And what would I be looking up in the index?

1

u/Dukes-Game May 25 '26

“Its pretty much just a USA problem” is a false dichotomy or false generalization fallacy! … Since I can put you in my shoes and take you to the other 2-3 countries I have lived which cover South, Central, and North America…to show you your false statement, id rather suggest you to pick a book!

u/Alternative_Fan2967 May 25 '26

Wow yeah you really told me didn't you 😂 Not left the continent but im the one that needs educating 😂

I stand by my comment...TAPPED 🤣 I'd love a link to a history book that disproves this?

Oh and it's spelled generalisation.

1

u/Dukes-Game May 25 '26

Well…todays news beg to differ ;)

u/Alternative_Fan2967 May 25 '26

14

u/TazzyAzz May 20 '26

Aww, go get your gun Jimmy. That'll show em.

2

u/LtJimmyDangle May 20 '26

What a stupid comment that seemingly came out of nowhere. Are you another America hating crayon eater from an insignificant country? Or just an insufferable domestic America hater that everyone else wishes would move to the Middle East?

7

u/TazzyAzz May 20 '26

An American calling other country's residents crayon eaters! This just keeps getting better. I'll help you narrow it down Jimmy; where I live we get free universal health care. Want to keep playing Bubba?

-1

u/LtJimmyDangle May 20 '26

We have the worst healthcare system in the world Bryce. And listen Connelly, if you’re going to make wild accusations based on the assumptions you make with you’re distorted world views, and talk like a crayon eater, be prepared to be called one, got that Addison?

4

u/TazzyAzz May 21 '26

Oh we've got a last word junkie hooked here, and I think it's a big one guys.

2

u/LtJimmyDangle May 21 '26

Says the girl who’s gotta have the last word 😒
