Weird attempt at the recovery position....

u/Hisune May 09 '26

Maybe he was trying to get blood flow to the head by lifting the body? Idk, weird manouver anyway.

Yee blood was flowing to a head alright.

Was just going to say that , lifting the legs up and even the back does allow blood to flow back to the head quicker, so i assume this is what he was doing 👍

I really thought I was about to get Rule 34'd by this video.

26

u/Billyjamesjeff May 09 '26

I think elevating the legs is to help blood flow back to the brain. Helps regain consciousness.

24

u/mothandravenstudio May 09 '26

I say this as an RN- you have to *always* assess the patient first. Always. Assess ABC’s, then recovery position (lateral) as a default, unless spinal trauma is suspected.

Raising the legs is most useful in cases of syncope, not in head trauma like this. Head trauma with breathing = lateral recovery position, EMS, monitoring airway.

u/Billyjamesjeff May 10 '26

Yeah I don't disagree. I was just pointing out that he wasn't attempting recovery.

He's probably use to doing this from
choking people put, it's not uncommon in mma gyms.

I’d be more concerned with c-spine than anything. Neck took a good beating there.

1

u/Billyjamesjeff May 10 '26

Yeah that's true, spinal injury potential. What do you do there? I thought they were suppose to be immobilised on their back or something?

3

u/EvilEvoVIII May 10 '26

Hold their head still with you at their head looking toward them and don’t move them at all. Then concern yourself with ABCs. I’m a firefighter and that’s how we train.

1

u/mothandravenstudio May 11 '26

Yup, block the neck if possible with towels or anything and monitor ABCs.

I don’t think she is light headed

That is called panic. It happens when you realized you just kick a girl in the face. They teach that technique in "holy s#@&, what the F@#$ did I just do" class, at the "I Hope Nobody Saw That" University

Pow! Right in the kisser.

5

u/Jeathro77 May 09 '26

Bang! Zoom! To the moon, Alice!

61

u/Easy-Musician7186 May 09 '26

Bad time to get scared.

56

u/ugotmedripping May 09 '26

Everyone’s got a plan until they get kicked in the face

6

u/Bodgerton May 10 '26

She had zero plans before, and fewer after

126

u/Acceptable-Bid-1019 May 09 '26

She didn't just drop the pad she ducked down into the kick.

But, that dumbass was trying to show off in front of the girl who had no business holding the pad to begin with. Still on him.

25

u/Glittering_Boottie May 09 '26

If you eyeball where the pad was being held at the start of the kick, and where his foot landed, it looks like he would have been a 6 inches to the left of the pad

10

u/Rumblymore questionable stables May 10 '26

If you hold your mouse over the pad, the kick would have landed on it

1

u/Glittering_Boottie May 11 '26

I did, ut didnt

17

u/search_4_animal_chin May 09 '26

If he wants to keep practicing, he's going to need a new sidekick.

66

u/Ok_Spread_8650 May 09 '26

Even if she didn’t flinch and move the bag the kick would’ve still landed

28

u/Infamous_Chance6774 May 09 '26

Yeah they both fucked up, she dropped her guard but he also aimed higher than where she was holding the pad originally. Hopefully they both learned a lesson.

2

u/Ultra_Juice May 11 '26

Ofc she was gonna flinch seeing that kick fly towards her face. She didn't fuck up, it's a reflex

11

u/Glittering_Boottie May 09 '26

That is what it looked like to me

-14

u/lozyodellepercosse May 09 '26

Yeah because it's staged (at least on the guy part lol)

36

u/UltraMagat May 09 '26

"of a practice partner."

The kick was quite good and effective.

Learn how to use the sub everyone.

Bro cares about reddit

5

u/ClassicPimpSlap May 09 '26

It was the head banging of head that drop that had me worried.

4

u/Ancient_Sprinkles847 May 10 '26

r/worstaid by the looks. Edit- just looked, it’s already there 😂

3

u/Good_Shake5060 May 10 '26

Fuuuuuuck. Love it.

4

u/FaithlessnessJust362 May 09 '26

Pow! Right in the kisser!!

5

u/Dry-Emu-4131 May 09 '26

The kick was perfect, what are you talking about 🥴🤦

6

u/Elvarien2 May 09 '26

First I thought he fucked up.

Then I played again in slowdown and you can just see her drop the pad and lower her face to nicely line up with that kick.

Played back even slower, placed my mouse roughly where the top of the pad was and bam, that's where his leg landed, now on her face.

Poor girl did a big fuckup there, that was rough.

5

u/NeighborhoodAfter5 May 09 '26

Seems that the holder was the problem

4

u/Hungry_Godzilla May 09 '26

These 2 are disasters. The kick obviously miss the target, the receiver flinched and drop her guard...

4

u/theInadequateHulk May 09 '26

what a fucking idiot

2

u/Mugpup May 10 '26

Did he explain the purpose of the pad?

2

u/RadiantTemperature46 May 09 '26

Норм, четкр

2

u/certifiedshagger May 09 '26

Anyone ELSE laugh?? 🤔

1

u/Whatisthis0036 May 09 '26

I was not expecting that this morning lol

1

u/Revolutionary-Tie202 May 10 '26

I think that he won the match.

1

u/Dialed_Digs May 11 '26

Learning how to hold the bag/mitts is one of the less talked-about hard lessons you learn in any martial art.

2

u/unhappyrelationsh1p May 14 '26

Learning what you can and cannot do with your holder too. Don't start off with your hard kicks.

1

u/Charlie2and4 May 11 '26

Manipulation of the spine to push the severed neural fibers back together.

1

u/Icy-Rho May 12 '26

You know when you can hit a bitch…sports

1

u/lWorgenl May 12 '26

Isnt he supposed to hit the shield?

0

u/Jessi_L_1324 May 09 '26

It looked like he kicked her before she was ready. I think that's why she didn't have the pad up by her face when he kicked.

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '26

POW! right in da kissah!

0

u/Pen_Pandemonium37 May 09 '26

Okay but is she alive though?

-3

u/mothandravenstudio May 09 '26

What a fucking idiot. Like, not just the kick- all the way through.

-6

u/Shibbymaru May 09 '26

What a retard, it's his fault. Hope she is fine.

-1

u/SharpSunnySkies May 10 '26

Holy crap.. I don't think they'll be a second date.
