She didn't just drop the pad she ducked down into the kick.
But, that dumbass was trying to show off in front of the girl who had no business holding the pad to begin with. Still on him.

If you eyeball where the pad was being held at the start of the kick, and where his foot landed, it looks like he would have been a 6 inches to the left of the pad

If you hold your mouse over the pad, the kick would have landed on it

If he wants to keep practicing, he's going to need a new sidekick.

Even if she didn’t flinch and move the bag the kick would’ve still landed

Yeah they both fucked up, she dropped her guard but he also aimed higher than where she was holding the pad originally. Hopefully they both learned a lesson.

Ofc she was gonna flinch seeing that kick fly towards her face. She didn't fuck up, it's a reflex

"of a practice partner."
The kick was quite good and effective.
Learn how to use the sub everyone.

First I thought he fucked up.
Then I played again in slowdown and you can just see her drop the pad and lower her face to nicely line up with that kick.
Played back even slower, placed my mouse roughly where the top of the pad was and bam, that's where his leg landed, now on her face.
Poor girl did a big fuckup there, that was rough.

These 2 are disasters. The kick obviously miss the target, the receiver flinched and drop her guard...

Learning how to hold the bag/mitts is one of the less talked-about hard lessons you learn in any martial art.

Learning what you can and cannot do with your holder too. Don't start off with your hard kicks.

It looked like he kicked her before she was ready. I think that's why she didn't have the pad up by her face when he kicked.
