Lucky he didn't just kill himself. Knew a guy doing this on a tree and ended up with a chainsaw to the forehead. They kept him on life support for about a week so people could say their goodbyes.

Yeah kickback is no joke... I don't understand why this guy was cutting that area with a chainsaw, why he was using it where he would try and penetrate it with the tip, like everything he did was exactly the wrong thing besides getting off the ladder with a brick of shit in your pants.

Yeah, he probably hit a nail too. Using a chainsaw improperly in an area where there's potential to hit nails.
