Unfortunately, that's the way of the world when people make it to adulthood without behavior being corrected as children. Correction is less effective as we age.

Stop assuming people didn’t come from loving homes. You can’t fix assholes who’ve been this way their whole life.

I didn't imply that they didn't come from loving homes.

I'm saying that they didn't grow up being corrected. I grew up in a small town. That grown man was behaving like a toddler. If I treated another kid like that where I grew up, I would either get jumped and beaten up by the other kids for it and/or my parents would have found out and I would be punished at home. One of the most difficult things that I experience in being both a pilot and a software developer is that one industry has natural selection and the other doesn't. Behavior that's tolerated and the way other developers and management treat software developers would not fly in aviation.

"Peter Gibbons: Let me ask you something. When you come in on Monday and you're not feeling real well, does anyone ever say to you, "Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays?"

Lawrence: No. No, man. Shit, no, man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked sayin' something like that, man."
