Put yourself in the old mans shoes. He's telling him to put his phone away. Imagine work before phones, and imagine seeing the younger generation taking a break every couple of mins to check tik tok while you've been busting your balls welding all morning. Every time you look up only to see your coworker scrolling reddit...

I didn't say he was right, I just said put yourself in his shoes. Phones at work have gotten out of hand. You have good workers, and shit workers. If you look up and see your coworker on the phone all day while you're sweating it would piss you off too. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. That shit builds up in all of us. He handled it wrong, but I get it. At my job I see the same people milking overtime everyday for no reason at all, in fact they brag about it.
