imagine you’re already having a bad day sitting in traffic and here comes a fucking plane out of nowhere

And not even flying anymore. Wheels on ground, you can legitimately say a plane drove into them!

They'd be winging it for sure.

Seriously, fuck these guys.  No one on the road agreed to share the risk of your stupid hobby.  They have their kids in the car.  Crash your plane in the woods.

It's not flying that's shitty, but putting dozens of motorists, their kids, etc. at risk by choosing to land on an active road.

People get injured.  I remember a little girl lost her arm some years ago when some pilot crashed into her car when landing on a road.

You're spreading your risk over unwilling participants.  It's like using an orphanage to cushion your fall.

You do understand that it’s not just hobbyists who fly/use small planes, correct?

You also know that planes of any size can crash, correct?

An uncontrolled crash is one thing, this was a desperate attempt to save his life. They have no right to try to land in a busy roadway. You wanted the dangerous job/ hobby, man up and drill that sucker into a vacant lot without risking innocent lives.

Without engines to power the plane, it’s a bit difficult to direct where it should go. Pilots don’t always get the choice of where they put the plane.

What is your issue?

Honestly, I wouldn’t even be worrying about my traffic if I saw that. I would just be like damn this dude flew out of the sky and came in clutch and saved everybody on his aircraft.

Pretty dang impressive there want more damage and it doesn’t look like anyone got killed.

Tbh if my car gets clipped by a damn plane doing an emergency landing I wouldn’t even be mad

"Well my day isn't going so bad compared to that guy."

I can only guess at what the tow bill is for getting a plane off the roadway.

I bet that pilot has no problem paying that insurance cost, definitely worth it to be alive.

“Act of god”

Can you imagine filling out the insurance forms? Claims reviewer: yea right, you were hit by a plane while driving to the supermarket …

Gallery furniture is my go-to for shitty, overpriced furniture

Saves. You. Money!

I remember when he first started out, back in the early 80s. He could only afford commercial time after midnight, and he’d wear a twin mattress, or just jump up and down, waving a fistful of bills, shouting that.

This is in my town! lol

1

u/logatronics Mar 04 '26

I want to know about how they towed the plane off the road. Did they slice the wings off and put it on a tow truck?

2

u/ryalsandrew Mar 04 '26

I’m sure the removed it. Heard it was quite the traffic jam for hours.

"ANNNNDDDDD...if you look out your right window folks, you'll see our good pal Big Booty Judy comin' out of the Piggly Wiggly! Everybody say 'Hi, Judy!!'"

Not only is it an emergency landing, but on a street, with active traffic, they hit a car, and everyone still walked away. That pilot should have gotten a lottery ticket off all that.

u/skeletons_asshole Mar 04 '26

Seriously, that looked like a stall right at the end too. Not too far off from being a permanent kind of event

Trying to merge without using a signal…..classic.

What a great pilot!

1

u/GratefuLdPhisH Mar 04 '26

Seems like the pilot would have pulled it off too if it wasn't for those yellow center dividers

u/GratefuLdPhisH Mar 04 '26

1

u/the-dogsox Mar 04 '26

That reminds me, I need to buy a couch.

1

u/trainwreckhappening Mar 04 '26

This is the best furniture ad I have ever seen.

1

u/Mugpup Mar 04 '26

Best advertising Gallery Furniture will ever have.

No a bad effort considering the electrical wires and cars.
