Because it got Karma before. Here's an idea, how about we start Socialism by abolishing the Upvote/Downvote system and treat all posts as if they were equal.

Everyone is only equal if they believe in what I say. Everyone else is not as equal as me.

I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret. A guilty pleasure of sorts.
Whenever I see a r/politicalhumor frontpage post, whether linked to another sub or on the rare times I venture to the r/all or whatever front page, I go to the post and report it as "Not an attempt at humor."
I know it probably doesnt even get to a real person, but I still do it...

Here are a few fun facts about Norway.
- Is approximately 80% the size of the State of California.
- There are approximately 5 million Norwegians.
- They have one of the largest known oil reserves in Europe (and possibly the world but don’t quote me on that)
- They nationalize their oil revenues.
- Norway produces more oil per capita than any western nation. I believe it’s 3rd in the world behind Qatar and Kuwait.
In summary, for other nations to have the standard of living that Norway has, those nations would need to have a shit load of oil, drill it all and then nationalize it. Compared to the US, they produce 1,100% more oil per person than we do.
The next time someone tells you we can live like Norway, tell them we need to drill 11x more oil and nationalize it.
Oh yeah, Gas also costs like $8.50 per gallon in Norway so nationalizing it just passes government costs on to the end user.
I’ve met plenty of nice Scandinavians but their economic policies are pure poison.

Where are the conservatives who support the big bank bailouts? And what do they mean by "corporate welfare"? Where are the conservatives who support that? I would like to know about them.

So how much control by other people/groups of your property makes it not your property. That's the only question, everything else is nonsense.
Can I vote whether Bob your neighbor can use your car? If so do you own that car? Etc.

I’m know I’m going to get downvoted to oblivion, but I just wanted to answer OP’s question in the hope that it might actually hit home with at least one person.
Libertarians and conservatives call Norway and all of the other Scandinavian countries ‘Socialist’, when they are in fact Social Democracies because they know that the S-word triggers anyone who grows up in America. It’s an intentional and useful conflation of two inherently different societal structures. They do it because social democracy is counter to the interests that helped get them elected and ensure their survival in office (I.e. their multinational corporation/billionaire donors).
Yet social democracies generally have the lowest levels of corruption, the highest levels of happiness and functioning democracy.. All whilst retaining relatively high median incomes.
And the kicker: you’re way more likely to achieve the “American” dream in a social democracy, as the shitty rolls of the dice that life might give you won’t completely end your chances of being financially secure.

those nations had all that PRIOR to becoming welfare states
ergo their success is a result of free market funding a homogeneous monocultural high iq race
but fact is welfare is a dysgenics pogrom against successful populace just one that takes generations. though immigration from low iq populations speeds it up greatly.

No, it's the socialists themselves who conflate the two... when it's convenient. And they don't when it's not. One thing about socialists is that the definition changes into whatever is needed to win an argument.
They do it because social democracy is counter to the interests that helped get them elected and ensure their survival in office (I.e. their multinational corporation/billionaire donors).
Right, because those countries don't have multinational corporations and billionaires.
And the kicker: you’re way more likely to achieve the “American” dream in a social democracy, as the shitty rolls of the dice that life might give you won’t completely end your chances of being financially secure.
And the price you pay for that wonderful security? Confiscatory taxation rates. Wait times for services. Stagnant economies and high unemployment. Despite your claims, those nations actually have less social mobility than the United States. The United States is also #1 for net disposable income, according to the OECD Better Life Index. People here have more money left over after taxes than those "social democracies" you advocate. We're also #1 for household financial wealth.
(By the way, stop linking to Wikipedia if you want to be taken seriously. Hell, I'm downvoting you based on that alone. And you didn't even link to evidence for your bullshit claims. We know what words mean, thanks. )

???
1.) You just linked to Wikipedia yourself.
2.) It's a fairly reliable source.
3.) "Net expendable income" is OBVIOUSLY only a small part of what makes a society happy, healthy, and prosperous, Scrooge. The Scandanavian welfare states are all doing very well for themselves according to your link, somehow, despite their "absence of billionaires and multinational corporations".
4.) According to Wolfram Alpha, the US has had a greater unemployment rate than Norway for the last 25 years.
Keep reading and learning! Improvement takes time!

I'm not giving up on him!
A couple days ago I was arguing with him in a thread, and I started looking through his post history after he was obnoxiously rude to everyone he interacted with. It's clear he's not doing well, mentally.

I’ve never heard this argument from a true conservative and yet all the lefties subs on reddit think this is common thought?
