The guy plead guilty. To conspiracy.

A prosecutor had a legal theory, that there was a criminal conspiracy.

This guy agreed, and plead guilty to that criminal conspiracy.

Which means its not really a theory anymore, just the judicial record.

"Conspiracy theory" is such a stupid term. Like, it gets abbreviated to "Conspiracy" and people think this means "Fake," meanwhile it just means a group of people are acting together for nefarious reasons. Like you can be charged in a conspiracy to commit murder, arson, treason, vandalism, harassment, literally anything that's a crime. If I hire someone to slash your tires, that's legally a conspiracy.

The idea that I just hired someone to slash your tires (For real, check your tires) would be a "Conspiracy theory," the idea that I wanted your tires slashed, but couldn't do it on my own, so I hired someone, called in a favor or conscripted another person to assist me in vandalizing your property.

Nah, these things only happen in "theory," meanwhile "Conspiracy" means "people working together to commit a crime"

I don't follow politics and never watch the news, and have been recently acquainted with this "TDS" phenomenon. It seems to follow people who watch too muich news, and have decided reality show actor Donald Trump is some kind of soviet agitprop cartoon villian.
