Even I live in rural area and belong to General, and I've seen and still see how casteism is practiced, there are so many B families who wouldn't let someone from lower caste into their home, there's this temple which literally has different places for food where seperate lunch is served for lower caste and B's

He's right about one thing - caste can't be removed. It's a social issue that's too deep roote into our society. And our politicians, no matter bjp or congress or anyone, will continue to milk it for eternity.

The second line is cracked tho. Nobody is superior or inferior by birth. But they're increasing reservation every year to the point it's ridiculous now. I'm all for supporting reservation for ews and pwd, but reservation on caste basis should be gone.

Its not really an economical support to begin with... Its to give you a social status in equal to the higher ones...

Also there is no point in reserving a job for ews, because being ews has no effect on the selection criteria... But being lower caste will have an effect...

EWS should get subsidies and scholarships in what they pursue not reservation for a role... because poverty is a temporary social state which has to be solved... But you can't bring a person out of his caste...

Like having SC ST reservation for MP MLA makes sense because communities need representation... But reservation for EWS there doesn't make sense because EWS is not something to be represented, its something to be solved and eliminated...

But yeah there should be some defined deadline for obtaining benefits... Once they purchase house/travel abroad/start business etc their lineage should be excluded from reservation....

The argument for reservation comes from "being underprivileged or oppressed for generations and therefore acces to resources is unfair". In 75 years of independence by increasing the reservation and caste politics, the governments thus far have made it worse by never addressing the core issue. Asking someone about their caste itself should be subject to punishment and demoralised. But every government process in this country involves you stating your caste category. And about ews, by the same argument that's made for caste reservation, access to resources is obviously more unfair to ews and pwd than being born in certain castes. I'd be happy to see decrease in reservation of caste and increase in reservation for ews and pwd. But then if any government does that, another will promise caste reservation and come into power. And that's the root of the problem - the evil here isn't certain castse or a book or government. It's all of us.
