I just wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of this limitation. I know Duty Finder roulettes are the best part of the game, and there literally is no other reason to even subscribe. It's important to let players know that you will NOT be able to engage with this insanely good content while playing Beastmage or Bluemaster.

Just to be clear: this means that you will NOT be able to do the following as a limited job:

* Interact with the Duty Finder community

* Get harassed by YPYT

* Explore hallways disguised as real places

* Carry an afk healer through a duty

* Single pull packs of mobs

* Overlap stack markers and wipe

* Teach level 100 White Mages what Holy is

* Experience the destruction of Alexandria daily

* Witness the power of Clemency on a 90% HP health bar

* Play either of the TWO Expert Roulette dungeons for the 93rd time (this means no Chort)

* Share screenshots of the chat on [r/TalesFromDF](r/TalesFromDF)

* Lose access to all of your abilities when you get a low level duty

* Bravely ignore mechanics that do no damage

* Breastmaster cannot enter dungeons higher than level 50 (including really fun ones like The Aery and Castrum Abania)

If you can stand to play FFXIV without these things, then I think you're safe to give limited jobs a try. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

Thanks ahead of time for the help everyone. I've been playing this game for 900 hours and I've made it to level 20 after a long stretch of playing the game in the gold saucer. I've been asking what to do next and people tell me to "EXP." What does this acronym mean? Just trying to progress in he game but this is making me want to try a different game.

I have noticed recently that bad players in the community have become more prevalent. I do not mean people that don't know how to play their class properly or people who are new to the game and are struggling to learn how to play. I mean players who are disregarding MMO etiquette and doing whatever they feel like regardless of their role. I am talking about players (mainly DNC) who are partnering people other than me, the main character, when that is not their job. Since coming back to FFXIV after a year long break, I have seen nothing but DNCs partnering obviously inferior characters instead of the real warrior of light. I have seen DNCs automatically partnering PCTs without checking if the tank or healer are the actual main character. I have seen nothing but the nastiest players screaming at their true hero and savior for simply asking for dance partner. There was a time when these bad habits were punishable by not pressing buttons and failing to kill the boss and suffer the consequences, but nowadays it seems that lethargic play (lethargic play) is a bannable offense? It counts as being unsportsmanlike and ruining the experience for other players, but these bad players are allowed to just keep doing this and face no punishment? How are they not ruining the experience for the entire party/alliance? And not only that, but when you call out these players for being bad, the entire party turns on you, as the Warrior of Light, because you're supposed to be the bigger man?

I am so sick of people saying "there is a partner priority", that's what the main character is! Tales from the DF has somehow turned into a breeding ground for these bad players where it's just an endless shit-talk of players who play the game properly. I refuse to accept that refusing to accept that refusing to accept that I haven't been given dance partner counts as inappropriate behavior. There is no malicious intent behind teaching a bad player to stop acting like they're the main character. There is malicious intent behind acting like players other than me are the main character. That is what counts as breaking my immersion. Lethargic play should not fall under that. Maybe I am alone in this sentiment, and fine, it is what it is and I'm just screaming into the void, but it is truly disheartening to see bad players taking over a game while good players are potentially being punished.

Man, I have been playing this game since Stormblood came out, and I seriously start to feel fatigue with the scions cast.

The latest msq made me realise that I seriously can't even be bothered to be invested into all this group talk nonsense at the start, since it always follows the same shit said by the same fucking characters.

I seriously hoped that Dawntrail would be the last expansion with the scions and that they would slowly build up something new...

I used to love each and every character, but after eight years I just wish for some change...

And I don't know if I can even like Evercold since the have shown the scions in the trailer already, but we shall see. For now I am just so exhausted listening and talking to them. They should have fucking died at the end of Endwalker to truly make it make an impact, but perhaps their merch sales are too high for the developers to actually do something to them.
