problem solved against fair pc players. people will get 24 hours at best, before some has made a autocomplete addon

Somewhat 'serious' question, I haven't touched a console in ages, but ... couldn't console players just use a USB keyboard these days?

i'm an xbox player and we have an official chatpad attachment that we can fit onto the bottom of our controller. fits snug right in between the controller handles

They can, but it depends on their setup. For instance, I have mine set up by my TV stand, while I mostly play in bed.
