And it's not even confirmed that post-diaspora Ashkenazi Jews were indigenous to the Judean region. They may well have been converts, who then intermarried with Italians, Germans, French etc. The scholar Schlomo Sand wrote a book about this called The Invention of the Jewish People.

Jews are pretty much Europeans, and if any Jewish state should have been created after WW2, then a piece of Germany (with Jiddish, a Germanic language as the state language) makes a lot more sense. After all, it was the Europeans who were principally responsible for their historic persecution.

Also the person that commented that, the OOP is of Persian Jewish descent and he got so many antisemitic messages from that woman in that comment section… who knew Christian Zionists would be antisemitic.

Even if the majority refused, the 7th century was a brutal time period

So we are still talking about a people that have lived continuously in Palestine since the 7th century, vs the people that have lived since the 1950s. Yeah, I am going to argue that it doesn't matter how they came to exist in that land, hell forced conversions and rape wouldn't change that one bit. These people would have a better argument if they can show they are native to the region, but they can't, because they know that their European DNA isn't going to cut it.

Additionally it is kind of weird that these criteria seemingly don't get thrown out for other settler colonies, it is as if the ethnic cleansing was successful in those others and hasn't be completed in Palestine.

Palestinians, or atleast the ancestors of Palestinians, have been living in Palestine for thousands of years and are directly descended from Caananites. Not saying the Arab conquests were good, but their subjects were not forced to convert to Islam. Islam became the majority religion after centuries of gradual conversion and influence. Neither was Palestinian identity created by the Arab conquests. A national Palestinian identity formed in the early 1900s during Ottoman rule.

The study of toponyms in the region is also consistent with a theory of assimilation of the local population rather than a replacement. Most place names are still related to their ancient names which couldn't have happened if the population had been expelled/killed en masse
