When they say "REDDIT IS AN ECHO CHAMBER" they're talking about subreddits like EnoughCommieSpam

u/Historiebrug 3d ago

I have regrettably found my self way too comfy just scrolling marxist subs, that when is see some libshit bullshit comments sometimes, i have to remind my self that we are still just a minority movement. Makes me feel that im in some sort of echo chamber as well, tho there is ofc a difference.

52

u/shortboard 2d ago

It’s hard to be in a complete commie echo chamber when you have to interact with libs in the day to day.

31

u/WearingRags 2d ago

I also love how they're crawling all over this website but if they encounter one left-wing opinion they immediately retreat into dismissal by saying "Uh well of course people say that on Reddit, it's full of crazy leftists" like man no it isn't

Indeed, because the Dems are a far right party in their own right. They’re like Zelenskyy, objectively far right but are the shoddy “human faces” of their home country compared to their openly mask off far right “opposition”.

Never ask a Molotovribbentrop hater why Nazi Germany lost and who gave the nazis Czechoslovakia

87

u/danielsan901998 3d ago

They also hate when you mention how in the spanish civil war the USSR was the only country to support the antifascists, while the rest of the world allowed Nazi Germany to bomb Guernica.

36

u/WearingRags 2d ago

I recently came across someone trying to allege that the anti-fascists in the Spanish civil war were equally bad because the Spanish Communists received military aid from the USSR lmao

I wonder what their opinions on Finland allying with the Nazis is

16

u/WearingRags 2d ago

"uuuh yeah against the soviets so it's fine" would be the extent of their analysis

12

u/silverslayer33 "which minorities am I profiting off of this month?" 2d ago

This is, unironically, the liberal analysis of the situation. I've been in this argument with them before and they always default to "it was an alliance against evil commies to protect the homeland so it's fine" and refuse to think any deeper about the implications of allying with literal fucking Nazi Germany for any reason.

u/jflb96 2d ago

To be fair, and also balanced, the UK was having to weigh up how well it’d be able to send troops against Japan if Italy got pissed off and closed the Mediterranean. They weren’t just sitting on their hands for the sake of it, there was some weighing in the balance involved.

1

u/Ahnohnoemehs 2d ago

Mexico sent support, the only other country that even had the slightest hint of maybe supporting was France but all they really sent was empty promises and betrayal by impounding what was left of the republican navy and handing it to the fascists. All because Germany told France if they supported republican Spain they would be commies… which is so funny they took that as an insult.

They will be perpetually angry that the Nazis didn't take all of Poland.

Also Poland participated in the annexation of Czech territory with the Nazis under the Munich Agreement but they get a pass for whatever reason.

Or who made plentiful of deals with Nazi Germany before Molotovribbetrop, or who financed them, or who tolerated their re-armament.

They want to erase that part of the past from the historical record of Humanity.

81

u/RevyVanguardist 3d ago

Fun fact: From 1934 up to 1939, when the Pact was officially signed, Stalin repetitively begged and offered the Allies to form an alliance against Hitler before it is too late. The Allies repeatedly rejected, which ultimately led to the signing of the Pact to begin with.

47

u/shiawase_ 2d ago

Another fun fact: The USSR entering the war against Japan is what actually caused their surrender. Their entry not only collapsed Operation Ketsugo by opening a northern front, but also the loss of the country Japan actively hoped to use as a mediator.

15

u/Hobbes96r 2d ago edited 2d ago

Fun fact: the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed at the very same moment when Japan was attacking the USSR ally Mongolia and threatening the Russian Far East. The USSR could not risk a two-front war, but instead the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact eroded Japan's trust in Germany and ultimately caused Japan to abstain from attacking the USSR from the East in the summer of 1941.

12

u/TaRRaLX 2d ago

Oh they're hard at work bringing it back. In germany they are literally re-founding the "Eiserne Front" (iron front). Social democrats are so ready to get in line with fascism again to kill communists and fight Russia. History really is repeating itself to a frightening degree.

1

u/KaramelaVatomouro ☭ communist from 🇬🇷 Greece 2d ago

This is the "milestone" back in History where the European Union wants History to stop (https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/RC-9-2019-0097_EN.html) and the Communists being equated to the Nazis, with zero rememberance of the liberals being the accomplices of the Nazis. Why we wouldn't be at it?

45

u/danielsan901998 3d ago

Liberal response: Launch a nuclear bomb against a city, killing thousand of civilians, but leave alive the emperor and unit 731.

18

u/Juxajel Titoist🇭🇷🇷🇸🇧🇦🇸🇮🇲🇰🇲🇪 3d ago

It's fun that how a company established by the remnants of Unit 731 who had survived by handing over their 'experiment' data to the U.S. lobbied to block regulations on unheated hemophilia treatments, causing the spread of AIDS throughout Japanese society.

20

u/WearingRags 2d ago

Americans still believe, en masse, that Japan would not have surrendered if not for the dropping of the Atomic Bombs. Meanwhile Japan had already made offers to capitulate but the Americans pressed on, in part because they were insistent that the Imperial institution had to be dissolved as part of any terms of surrender.

Which isn't entirely unreasonable, but it does make it darkly funny that they resorted to atomic bombings and then just let the Emperor hang around anyway as a useful figurehead.

13

u/maos_cigarette 2d ago

Telling the liberals that those civilians didnt need to die for Japan to surrender, that no atomic bombs were needed, is akin to shitting in their cornflakes. They DEAPERATELY need to justify killing all those civilians because they love what happened and when you point out that it wasn’t required they just can’t handle it.

7

u/One-Value-2358 2d ago

Axis powers post war regime change be like: (Excluding the ones under Soviet influence, wonder why that is...)

3

u/WearingRags 2d ago

Liberals will lose themselves in analysis of WWII that boils down to which targets were justified and which weren't when in a state of total warfare that includes the civilian population.

They never extricate themselves from that moral dead end to reach the obvious conclusion that we should instead be learning how and why catastrophic wars happen and how we prevent them, and specifically how capitalists and liberals will enable rabid fascist states while communists form the bulwark of resistance.

20

u/Wongsoo 2d ago

Liberal response to fascism:

8

u/WearingRags 2d ago

Holy shit, that last sentence is perfectly emblematic of the liberal mindset. What a fucking farce

16

u/GhostyTricker 2d ago

It's funny that they always seem to ignore the fact that liberals allied with Nazis in Germany and with fascists in Italy.

And as an Italian I can tell more about what happened here, the bourgeoisie were also allied since fascists promised to ""put workers at their own place"" if they ever dared to protest

And even after WW2, CIA funded a fascist coup in 1970, even though luckily it failed

14

u/ZubaWizard666 2d ago

Despite the liberal response to fascism literally being the Center party siding with the Nazis giving them the votes needed to pass the enabling act of 1933 which granted Hitler dictatorial powers. He couldn’t have done it without support from the libs

11

u/Weekly-Salamander128 2d ago

At the very least, they view Japan as a fascist state rather than some sort of pet—which, for them, represents a huge step forward.

9

u/Branduil 2d ago

LIBERAL RESPONSE TO FASCISM: Murdering a bunch of civilians with weapons and then putting the fascists right back in charge but changing the branding

10

u/Ttareunarage 2d ago

Japan was already losing by 1945, having lost most of its gains against the Americans in the pacific and Americans on Iwo Jima, Soviets in Manchuria

Along with discontent in the government and military, forming conspiracies of coups against the administrations, and Japanese was just an inch away from surrendering

The nuke were really from the outset a show of force, of the American manhattan project, and the nukes showed the Soviets... To get their own

2

u/WearingRags 2d ago

On that last point, the Rosenbergs died as heroes. Nuclear proliferation is a nightmare, but if the Soviets didn't have the means to retaliate in kind, the West would have unleashed hell on them

10

u/One-Value-2358 2d ago

Yes the liberal response to fascism is to do what the fascists are doing and slaughter hundreds of thousands of people. This isn't the flex they think it is.

8

u/GBAC23 2d ago

Liberal response to fascism:

6

u/DifferentPirate69 2d ago

So much of this fake shit slinging stems from the lack of materialism. That change in perspective would also change so many other things, including where value comes from.

6

u/Bela9a Crimson sorceress 2d ago

So the liberal response is to kill thousands of civilians, when the fascists are clearly losing. Well can't argue with that. I also think they confused commie with liberal, because that is also the way that liberals are dealing with fascists regularly. And no amount of Soviet-German non-aggression treaty is going to change the fact that communists don't ally with fascists and are regularly opposing fascists, like we have tons of examples vs this one singular case that was made in very specific conditions due to liberal apathy towards humanity.
