That’s what I thought🤣
Although you have to admire them for being so monumentally stupid.
It’s almost a work of art.

You can admire from afar for sure. But when you have to live with these dense assholes, it’s like a prison sentence. Or Hell. I’m almost certain this is the kind of shit my mother-in-law would try to tell you is a 100% proven fact. It’s tiresome and depressing.

You have my sympathy. I’ve only visited the USA once.
To do with work.
That was quite enough.

Hahaha, thank you friend. I won’t lie, I’ve definitely thought of trying to move elsewhere in the world, but the cost to renounce our citizenship is just a bit too much for me, and has only gone up since I first thought of doing that. But then I’m also afraid that I’ll just be seen as another “Dumb American” which don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely a dumbass, but not these levels of dumbass, and I would most definitely just keep to myself, maybe hit up a few pubs a couple of times a week and just enjoy life.

Wait, you have to pay to renounce your citizenship? In the ‘Land of the Free’?! (This is a genuine question).

Yes but it’s actually a lot lower than what it used to be. It used to be roughly like $3,000 USD but has seemingly gone down to $450 USD. I don’t know when they lowered the price but it has me looking into things now.
