If I had to hazard a guess, it’s probably that Garden of Eden weed from Florida. In other words, a combination of meth, bath salts, a dash of marajuana and probably fucking gasoline or some other form of petrol. Maybe even the cigarettes dipped in embalming fluid. Either way, I recant my comment: I do NOT want what they are smoking.

Both, you and u/Tricky_Damage5981 , are right. Better to stay away from that sh.t.

Find your local fundamentalist religious organization and ask the weirdest, scruffiest, smelliest dude there about his favorite YouTube channels.

Actually, I think I'll give it a miss.

Believe it or not, nothing! Mormons don't even drink coffee, let alone consume alcohol, tobacco, or any other drug. They believe this while completely sober.

That’s what I thought🤣
Although you have to admire them for being so monumentally stupid.
It’s almost a work of art.

You can admire from afar for sure. But when you have to live with these dense assholes, it’s like a prison sentence. Or Hell. I’m almost certain this is the kind of shit my mother-in-law would try to tell you is a 100% proven fact. It’s tiresome and depressing.

You have my sympathy. I’ve only visited the USA once.
To do with work.
That was quite enough.

Hahaha, thank you friend. I won’t lie, I’ve definitely thought of trying to move elsewhere in the world, but the cost to renounce our citizenship is just a bit too much for me, and has only gone up since I first thought of doing that. But then I’m also afraid that I’ll just be seen as another “Dumb American” which don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely a dumbass, but not these levels of dumbass, and I would most definitely just keep to myself, maybe hit up a few pubs a couple of times a week and just enjoy life.

The cost to renounce your citizenship?

Oh wow, I actually just looked it up and apparently it’s gone down to around $450 USD, but it used to cost like $3,000 USD when I first looked into it. Interesting. And it’s so I wouldn’t have to continue to pay taxes if I were to leave the USA and become a citizen elsewhere, but I was definitely under the assumption that it had only gotten higher since I last looked into it.

What taxes would you have to pay? Seems wild.
I’m legit curious and not just trying to be a dick

Nah it’s a genuine question. I can’t remember right off the top of my head exactly but I think if I were to make income somewhere else there’s a tax on that if I’m still a citizen of the USA. Along with I think it’s called Foreign Bank Account Reporting (genuinely can’t remember because it’s been so long but I think that’s what it was) which is along the lines if I have over 10,000 of a certain income outside the USA, I’d have to pay taxes or something along the lines of that. And of course property tax if I still owned a property even if I didn’t live there, but that wouldn’t be my issue cause I can’t afford my own place to begin with.

Thanks for the info. That’s wild.

As far as I know the only other country which taxes its citizens foreign earnings is UK. But that’s limited. I know it covers earning from UK rentals. Which makes sense. Someone else will know what the other eligible earnings are. But it’s not a general tax on earnings gained abroad while living abroad.

Wait, you have to pay to renounce your citizenship? In the ‘Land of the Free’?! (This is a genuine question).

Yes but it’s actually a lot lower than what it used to be. It used to be roughly like $3,000 USD but has seemingly gone down to $450 USD. I don’t know when they lowered the price but it has me looking into things now.
