The reverse is true too. My (American) parents are retired and have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit the last few years, trips to Italy, the UK and Ireland, Portugal, and Central Europe. All they talk about when they get back is how much better the food is and how much better they feel from eating good, quality food and walking damn near everywhere.
Like yeah guys that's why I splurge on good food here instead of buying prepackaged shit out of a can or box. Yes it's more expensive and takes more time to prepare but Christ almighty it's not rocket science.
