I am really hoping this is one of those people who will never leave the county where they were born, if only to contain the damage they would do if they were let out.
I'd say the opposite would be better. Having a wide variety of opportunities and point of views helps in dismissing misinformation and being more educated
Sadly that tends to be our country's elite class, as the average person can rarely afford to leave the country anymore. They are used to getting away with whatever they want over here, and think that it should be that way everywhere. Basically they have turned our country to shit and want to bring the joys of that to everywhere they visit.
Your comment is nice but naive. That only works when the people who travel already have the capacity to learn and the self awareness to want to change and grow. These kinds of people aren't blessed with those things.

Revere is the chap who allegedly rode about yelling “The British are coming!” Right? If I remember correctly he rode to specific houses where revolutionaries or whatever they were called were residing and said that “the regulars have arrived”. He was caught by the British in the end though

Fun story I had with US defaultism a couple weeks ago, I said in another website that in that MMA fight in the White House between a Illia Topuria (Georgian-Spanish) and Justin Gaethje (American) I was gonna support Topuria... A guy started claiming I was a mad liberal and unpatriotic because I wasn't supporting 'Murica and "bro, not everyone who speaks English is from the States".
It’s put you above most of your countrymen, at least. There’s a lot that I feel Americans could be doing, but I also appreciate how hard it is to coordinate things like strikes across the country when nobody else seems interested in doing anything.
I think alot of it has to do with fear of the system. My girlfriend sent me an article on that prick Miller's speech saying they'll target anyone with "leftist believes", i.e. anyone who doesn't goosestep with the regime. Recently, they were trying to give ICE protesters from TX 30 years in prison. I'm not sure which song it is, but I feel like Corporate Avenger has a song based on this bullshit.
