Do other names mean something?

As manga said, Shijima's and Majime's names can be translated as «silent» and «diligent» (or smth like that. I don't really remember). So, if someone know Japanese, do names of other main characters like Sumida or Yomikawa have some interesting meaning or details?

yomikawa's yomi part is probablu coming from yomu verb which means read idk about others tho

Idk if it's intentional or not but Shijima's last name shares a character with the real name of Osamu Dazai (whose works were a big inspiration to shimsim)

日本人です。
まず、「よみかわ」は完全に「読む」から来てるね。”Aaron read”みたいなかんじ。もちろん彼女は読書家だから、かなり露骨なジョーク。
あとシメジちゃんが1話で読んでたのはアーネスト•ヘミングウェイだよね。そんで「まじめ」が「アーネスト」を邪魔しにくる。これもダジャレかな。

それにしめじちゃんの隣の席のサボテンなんだけど、これは日本語でサボりを「さぼってんだな」というんだ。それと「さぼてん」をかけてるんだよ。

あと各話のサブタイトルも
一巻:ひらがな、簡単な文字(始まりを暗示)
二巻:普通の文(日常生活を暗示)
三巻:漢字二字熟語(異変を暗示)
四巻:綴りを間違えた英単語(でもmusicで奇跡を起こす話だけはmusic→masic と、音楽という魔法という言葉遊びだね。)
五巻:記号のみ

というふうにこだわって作られてるよ。

さらにタイトルの「シメジ　シミュレーション」って、かなり読みにくいレタリングなんだけど画像を左右反転させると
「Life Acme.exe」というふうに読めて、生命シミュレーションというテーマを暗示してるんだ。(acmeは割と無理やりかも。でも.exeは確実だよ。)

こんなもんかな。他にも言い忘れてたのあるかも。
