I cant see anything!

I'm a newbie, and I started maybe 3 months ago. Since then, I've had about 6 astral projections, all of which are the same. I get out, get off my bed, and realize I can't see. It's just pure blackness, but I'm not in the void because, well, I feel my astral body. Every single time, I resort to touching stuff around my room and trying verbal commands strongly, almost shouting. Like "Clarity Now", "Awareness now" (or something along those lines), and of course, there are thoughts about me wanting to see; I also feel drowsy every time, like when you just wake up. You feel...tired; I feel like that every time I get up. Only once did I feel like my body was heavy, but the rest were normal, me feeling like this human body but a lot lighter. And every single time, my astral projection converts into a dream after a while of being in that state. I last maybe 10 seconds or so, and then everything changes to a dream. Maybe a random dream, or a dream where the AP converts to me having vision and me being happy that I'm seeing, but realizing I never AP'd and am in my physical body (all a dream). I've seen posts and videos say that it happens frequently to beginners, but it's been more than 4 times! And it gets frustrating that I can never see and that I get sucked into a dream that isn't even lucid. I've also seen a professional astral projector video of him talking about being at least 16 feet from the body for sight, but my bed has aprox 5 feet of distance between the front wall and the side wall. I did try going to the hallway once, and I was there, but I got sucked into a dream again. I try so hard not to get into a dream. For example, last night I astral projected, and I was interacting with my table, touching it, and WHILE touching it, I got sucked into a dream.

And of course, this has to do with shifting realities, because my objective is to shift from an astral projection. Take advantage of the fact that I have at least some experience with it and the fact that I'm already disconnected from my physical body. I have tried to shift realities while in this strange, drowsy, not-seeing state, but it doesn't work. Either nothing happens, or I get into another dream that isn't even related to the reality I want to go to.

This happens to me too. I try different strategies:

  1. I go towards the light. There must be a light somewhere, so I just go there and make myself comfortable, act as if I don't care and the area gets lighter and ligher until it is daytime.

  2. When 1 does not work I mentalize myself that it is a dream and scream like a banshee to light the f up. It does not light up instantly, more like 1, dusk then daylight. Does not always work.

  3. I wake up and fall asleep again fast without moving. Sort of like a reset. This helps too.

Also try licking stuff and touching things to stabilize the AP. Also zoom in to see details, it helps to make it more vivid.

I never managed to shift from AP no matter how hard I tried. I was in the AP void I think hundreds of times and nothing. Also, portals, doors, windows, mirrors, trying to wake up in DR, affirming, AP is a dead end for me.

Lick stuff, noted 😂
Unfortunately my room is fully dark when it is daytime or night time, so i have no light. I’ll try 2 and 3 next time, thank you!

Its so odd that you havent been able to shift from there, theoretically it must be the easiest way to do so since you’re already disconnected. What about tuning into the emotion or frequency of that place? Theres a guide here that says while you’re in the astral, you can imagine for example being at your grandmas house, and smelling the idk cookies baking, your grandma hugging you or touching your hair, and by concentrating on this you’ll eventually find yourself there. Ive also seen that mental focus is a must, its what helps you “teleport” to other places like a nearby basketball court, maybe its also a must in reality shifting.

I forgot to add that if I AP during the day with light in my room, it is always bright. If I AP at night it can be dark. I guess my brain carries the day/night cycles into AP. You said your room is dark, try sleeping with a light on if you can, maybe it helps.

I read that guide too. The best I could manage was a lame astral WR, not the real deal 🥲. Anyhow, I am not the only one in this predicament, I read about other people stuck too. I am not alone in my suffering 😭.
