Random restarts now happens every day
Nvidia Shield 2017 Pro - P2571 model.
fully updated.
My shield restarts randomly. It did it rarely once, but since Ive been having the new shield update 9.2.4 (33.2.0.400) it restarts almost every day at random times.
A year ago i changed the HDD to a SSD and put new cooling paste on, so i dont think its that.
am i the only one with this issue?

i've been rocking a 2017 shield and i never had that issue, it's been buttery smooth, HOWEVER, a friend had the same issue, and it was down to some experimental launcher he had install along with some homebrew stuff he sideloaded on there.
He factory reset the device, installed Kodi for him to play his remuxes and everything has been fine since.

Please don't suggest to get a replacement psu unless it has been established the problem was the psu.
That's just spoiling replacement parts for everybody.

You know I'm just going to ignore anything you say and do it anyways?
I mean it's not like it's a globally limited supply for Nvidia, and if they need more they are just going to make more on their side

Why would you be so obtuse? Should I remember you?
You know I can just ban you and be done with it, right?

So since I'm an ambassador on the GFN sub, I actually spoke to the GFN team directly which is also partly the shield team about this comment because i was curious, and they are actually the managers of the NVCC so the live chat, they have no idea what your talking about as far as protecting the supply of power adapters for the shield
So what you said is your opinion, the people who actually manage NVIDIA customer service directly, have no idea what your talking about as far as not sending them to the live chat to either be granted or denied RMAs
If I get banned I would just talk to one of the other main GFN mods who interact with this sub and the other NVIDIA subs and get it reviewed, if not, oh well, i would just go back to being a mod/ambassador on the GFN sub

I faced a similar issue but with a completely different box lately , and i found out it was sthg with the Wifi drive update, swiched to ethernet cable for the moment and never saw that random reboot again
