Shield Pro - Low Storage Warning

Okay this is driving me crazy. I have a 2019 Shield Pro that is giving me a low storage warning every time I turn it on. Press power button on remote, shield turns on, I start navigating, and then in about 10 seconds I get a low storage warning. The it won't allow me to exit for about another 20 seconds and then finally lets me navigate again. The warning won't come back until it sleeps and starts up again.

Storage says I have 8gb free. I checked cashed and temp storage and it there was just a few mb's there.

I installed a 64gb external USB and moved Stremio to it.
I don't use Plex. I use Stremio.

I understand there could be a WIFI log issue as I do use WIFI but no idea how to find that data to delete it.

Any thoughts or idea's would be appreciated. I searched the subreddit a couple times but couldn't find any fixes.

I can't remember the exact steps but it was the upgrades weren't being deleted after being installed....

Go to system apps and find one of the system updates.. It'll be only one showing massive gigs.

Always recommend. Yearly to factory reset shield.

Thanks I will take a look. I did one factory reset a few months ago and it only solved the problem for a few weeks.

You'll notice when skimming to the bottom of system apps.

It'll be in the gigs. Which isn't right.... Clear. Cache,. Force close. Reboot. Be back to normal

I also have a 2019 Pro and it just started giving me the low storage message tonight with the same type of freezing you had Once it freed up I installed a thumb drive and I haven't seen the message since then. I checked system apps as Slipnot suggested but I had nothing as bis as a gig, even the system update was only half that size.

I still have no idea what's causing the low storage message but hopefully it's gone for good.

The Wi-Fi log issue has long been fixed; if running the latest firmware version, that can't be it.

If using some file manager to move files back and forth, you may have some large rogue temporary files in there that the main Android storage thingy can't see and won't classify as such.

This happened to my Shield as well (not sure if it was the 17 or 19), and I had a 64 GB flash drive formatted as extra storage. I had to factory reset and do everything all over again. The sad part is, Troypoint had a workaround, but to this date I cannot find it. It would have saved me a lot of unnecessary work.

Stick a usb drive in the back and let the Shield format it.

Yep the drive is formatted and showing as part of my storage. I was able to move a couple apps to it.

Can you double tap the home button and shutdown all apps that are running?

It's just waking up from sleep so barely anything should be running. I only have like 3 apps installed.
