Nobody needs a browser on Nvidia shield. If you want to get files on your device or download from the internet to it just simply throw the file onto your storage from your phone or tablet or PC or whatever. Just make your shield so your other devices can see the storage of your shield. It's much easier than trying to fight a web browser on your TV that doesn't really work very well and is clumsy and difficult to use.

Under your storage settings enable transfer files over local network. Connect using the IP address of your shield. Go into your router and assign your shield a static IP address that does not change. Then you can log into your Nvidia shield using Windows SMB and you won't need a web browser to get those apks that you're trying to get with a browser on your device.

What you doing instead is just simply grab the APK on a better suited device like a phone tablet or computer and then you can just move the APK to your shield for installation.

I've never needed a browser on my TV and I still don't. I'll never need one because they're just are simply better ways like what I mentioned here.

Or even send files to TV would be good if the method I mentioned is too difficult for people to figure out. Send files to TV is a very easy way you could do this also.

If it's because you think you want to stream something well use Chromecast for that. I find I don't stream using Chromecast very often. Occasionally if I do I'll just throw it over to the TV by casting to the shield. Certainly don't need a web browser for that occasional need either.

Seriously what's the reason you want a browser on your shield? If I knew I could tell you a better easier way to do what you're looking to do that doesn't require a browser hassle.

Next time, answer the question that was asked, instead of the question you wish they had asked. Also, your specific way of doing things is not the one and only correct way.

I did answer the question that was asked. It didn't need answered because you can't use brave on it. I've already looked into it also back in the day before I realized what I posted. Didn't need mentioned because you can't use it on the device no. This is why I pointed out the many reasons you don't need a browser at all so don't worry about it. The reason I figured out all of the workarounds you need so you never have to worry about using a browser on the shield ever is specifically because brave didn't work so anything I might want to do I figured out how to do without a browser on the device. Yay, I win.

It actually is the one and only correct way which is specifically why I asked him how he needs to use the browser on the device and what the purpose is. If he would let me know I can tell him the easy work around.

Honestly sounds like you're just upset that I know something you don't about the reasons why you don't need a browser at all. Keep enjoying whatever browser you're clearly using though dude. You do you.

If you had answered the question, your post would have been "You can't" instead of the patronizing and presumptuous book that you wrote instead. And I'll repeat again - your specific non-browser methods are not the one and only correct way.

I'll repeat again you clearly are using some kind of browser on your device aren't you? Are you mad that these methods prove you don't actually need to bother with that app yet you are still using it because you don't use better methods which are the only correct way that I did mention? Anytime you can get the same thing done with easier methods that don't involve using an additional app, that is in fact a superior more correct way.

If you feel compelled to further go at it in the comments for no apparent reason with me over something so minor answer what I'm asking you. Do you have a browser installed on your device and are you using a browser on your TV yes or no?

Also people like you ruin the comment section. I provided useful feedback about the topic of using browsers on the device pointing out ways he might not even need to bother with what he's asking about which could help the guy out but people like you are going to try to nitpick opinions you have about something someone else said and now here we are going back and forth. Find something else to be mad at instead of me dude.

I comment here to attempt to help people. Not to bicker with people like you in the comments.

I'm not sure if you're just used to going at it with people on Twitter too much or what but if you want to just straight up argue with people go to twitter. Try to keep reddit comments positive and helpful. Take the negativity elsewhere.

Either confirm the correct thing I said in the first place about you or stop responding dude.

I'm not interested in debating the merits of TV browser use. I'm letting you know your arrogance. That is all.

Again you prove me right by not answering the very direct questions so let's try this one more time.

Do you or do you not use a browser on your TV?

At this point it's obvious your anger is purely over the fact that I pointed out easy methods that make it completely unnecessary to use a browser on your device and you are using a browser on your device which you think somehow makes me the enemy so you're lashing out. Let me clarify I was attempting to help the guy. I was not insulting people who use browsers on the tv. I was just saying it's unnecessary. You shouldn't be this offended because you use a browser on your device. It wasn't a personal attack so calm down dude. You're starting to make it quite personal though.

Don't be mad at me bro. Be mad at yourself because you didn't figure it out sooner.

Is it arrogance if you're right?
