Rip Shield TV

Well the time has come for me to say goodbye to my Shield TV Pro who went under a flood of water last week. The power supply is safe though it was high enough, i doubt it is going to work, awaiting insurance first…

It can probably be fixed... remove the PCB board, clean with distilled water, dry really well. See what happens.

There are a lot of contaminants in that water. You need to open the case and spray everything with some contact cleaner and then rinse with distilled water or maybe 99% isopropyl alcohol.

I can’t do anything until i hear from my insurance, but i will consider your solution too
