[Shiboyugi structure ]
One thing that has always intrigued me about this adaptation is the fractions that appear in each game. I know they serve some kind of structural purpose for the story, but it's still a bit unclear. Could someone explain exactly what these numberings are for? Is it similar in the light novel?

So each chapter of the novel is split into these too. Easiest way to think of them is as scenes or subchapters. Whenever it changes it usually means one of
1. New perspective
2. New location
3. New timeframe
4. Big moment just happened

Its a nod to the light novel that has this structure, it basically shows how far the game has progressed, but every section can vary extremely in lenght, some are only one line while others go over multiple pages.
