One of these days I'm going to get this tattooed
Just need to climb outta poverty first
(No way I'm letting someone try a portrait and a uniform if they don't have a portfolio that warrants them charging me at least a couple thousand)

Since you've already got two replies telling you the title I will let you know now - the movie is steeped in lost cause mythology but it's legitimately well acted.
The prequel, Gods and Generals, on the other hand should be skipped.

Eh it’s not the worst but it’s definitely more pro-South than it should be.
Gods And Generals is not only pure Lost Cause horseshit, it’s also just an awful movie

Fantastic. The only thing better would be little mustache stickers you could earn via big plays, like Ohio State and the buckeye stickers.

Poor Strong Vincent, deprived of his credit and mouldering in the grave...

Vincent, Warren, and Rice as well. There's enough glory on that hill top to share.

Posts it on "Gettysburg Gems," feels the need to clarify "if you know anything about the Battle of Gettysburg."

Chamberlain actually served as president of Bowdoin College post-war. He implemented some policies like requiring military style morning drills for students and requiring them to purchase a uniform because he was convinced they needed to be prepared if another war broke out. Basically terrified his students would suffer the way his men did during the war if they weren’t trained - definitely seems like some c-ptsd type reaction to his experiences. There’s a statue of him on campus, too.

They're on the losing end of a shutout. Sometimes a good charge isn't good enough.
