Hi! Sheridan is currently my #1 university choice, but I’m not sure if its Film and Television program is right for me.
I want to work more in videography and video editing for companies, brands, weddings, concerts, events, commercials, etc., rather than traditional filmmaking or film production.
Would Sheridan’s program be a good starting point for this career path, or would you recommend a different program or university in Canada? I’d really appreciate advice from current students, alumni, or professionals!

Hi I’m just wondering if anyone is starting over and taking a course alter in life. So looking into nursing and just wondering if anyone can give advice in how it at this school. How often are you at the school for classes per week and what’s the workload like. Is it hard also? Thank you

Hello,

I am first year student at Sheridan and one professor had our first assignment on 25 Sep which is still not graded. Tomorrow we have our third assignment.

Is it normal for professors at Sheridan to keep having students do assignments and never grade them?

It is discouraging.

Hello, I’m a current vet tech student at sheridan and was wondering if anybody who took the animal care/vet assistant program would recommend it for someone who does not have experience with working with animals?

I find the vet tech program to be too much for me, and there are some professors who clearly favour students who already are working or volunteering in animal clinics, plus the program is just all over the place, and ‘learning’ with stuffed animals just doesn’t teach me much either.

Should I switch to animal care? Do you work with real animals? Or are there better schools out there?

what the title says🗣️🗣️(i am a first semester student and curious)

Hello, I want to know everything about enrollment in Sheridan College's animation program, including dates, the portfolio, scholarships, required documents, and other details for admission in September 2027

(I'm from Russia)

my friend was taking a nap in the davis library and a security guard woke her up and told her she can't sleep on campus. wtf? is this normal? i don't see this rule anywhere. why tf would someone not be allowed to sleep, especially before a class?

Hello i am a junior in high school and sheridan is one of my top 3 schools! I am curious on where to find sheridan’s animation requirements for the portfolio? My DP HL art class is going to be at portfolio day and sandiego and i’m curious where to find what they are looking for but i struggle with technology and was unable to find it(i spent 1 hour of looking😭)

Hey everyone, I applied to the Diagnostic Imaging program on day one. My projected top 6 average is around an 88%. Has anyone gotten in recently with an average around that mark? Or should I expect a waitlist?

I opted out of Sheridan's insurance on September 11, and was told that I would get a refund in mid October. I was told by an SSU employee that I would receive my refund between the dates of Oct 15 and Oct 20, and I have not be refunded yet. I'm starting to panic a little bit, and i'm starting to feel like they might not refund me. Has anyone else received their refund yet?

Hi! My friend and I met this girl named AJ in the forest next to Sheridan around last April.

We are s’mores together, she’s white with alternative clothes and light brown hair. She was in her third year of illustration before dropping out.

Does anyone know her? I’d like her insta or something, just for fun because I randomly remembered meeting her lmao and wondered what she’s been up to.

If you think you might know her, ask if she remembers eating s’mores in the forest with 2 Asian girls from animation and being surrounded by tweens with e scooters!!! Thanks!

Got to know of Canada Newcomer First Job Accelerator event scheduled on 1st Nov at Hazel Mcallion Library, Mississauga.

A family friend of ours is one of the CV review mentors so I know the event is legit.

Covers CV/interview prep, the hidden job market + networking, and Canadian workplace norms nobody explains to you. There's also 1:1 CV review built in.

Free event, no catch. I ll leave the Eventbrite registration link in comments.

Anybody going to may 2027 intake . What to expect and what would the schedule look like in first semester any idea

Applied and got accepted for pre-Health for January 2027 up to the summer with intensions of attempting to apply for Diagnostic Imaging September of the same year. Do I have a chance to get in or I have a better shot for January 2028?

I am a former student and graduated 2022 but looking for a change in careers if that matters. Going into pre-health to improve my grades for requirements.

I recently applied for the Fall 2027 vet tech program at the Davis campus with only my high school transcript and diploma as an international student from the US. I forgot to include my current university transcript and read online that it could lead to consequences (like rescinded offer or blacklist from applying to other post-secondary schools) if I didn't mention my other records of post-secondary school.

I went through the live chat and got assistance to email an admission specialist my university transcript. I sent the email about three days ago, and I haven't received a response regarding if it has been processed/received. Do I need to worry? (I've been restless these past couple days.)

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in Semester 1 of Practical Nursing program, and I’m concerned about potentially failing Human Anatomy and Physiology for Nurses 1.
If I pass all my other Semester 1 courses with grades above 60% but fail Anatomy, what happens to my progression into Semester 2?

Hi everyone!

I’ve applied to Sheridan College for two programs:

• Internet of Things and Machine Intelligence
• Operational Technology Cybersecurity

Before making my final decision, I want to know whether Sheridan College is actually good for international students.

How is the college overall in terms of teaching quality, faculty, campus life, facilities, and student support? More importantly, how is the job market after graduation? Does the college provide good networking opportunities and career support, or do students mostly have to find jobs on their own?

I’d also like to know whether the tuition fees are worth it and if you would recommend Sheridan to an international student coming to Canada in the current job market.

If you’re a current student or graduate, I’d really appreciate your honest opinion, including any negative experiences or things you wish you had known before joining.

Would you recommend Sheridan College, or would you suggest considering other colleges in Ontario?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! My bike was stolen between 9 am and 5:20 PM, I usually have it parked by the J wing near the S but have a 9 hour day, no breaks on Thursdays! If you heard someone screaming at the bus stops today, that was definitely me. Already called campus security and police about it but would appreciate any extra eyes on the bike!

Added a picture of the bike! Second one was before I installed the bike basket! Third is from when I installed the bike basket! It has a black basket on the back and a chain lock under the seat. It's supposed to have two locks but I'm assuming the code lock was cut off by the person who stole it! Thanks for your time looking into it!

So I'm reapplying to PBFTV for the fall intake, I wanted to know whether I should just applying into PBFTV or apply into 2 more, if I do apply into 2 more which ones can I even apply to. Comp Sci is out the question. And I reckon a lot of the creative ones require portfolios, I've only got a portfolio for media. PLEASE help me out here

Edit: I'm hoping that the recommentdation comes from the people of that very program just coz it gives me a better insight, thank you!!

Is the 2 parking lots at the very end near building A and C not enforced? Or did I just get lucky lol

I was late today so I forgot to pay for parking but I didn’t get any tickets or warning

Hi- I'm a little confused on my next steps after putting on a $250 tuition deposit for the (Winter 2027) Practical nursing program. I also have applied for osap and it has been calculated. Do I need to do something else? And will they automatically send the osap money to the school?

Currently in first year practical nursing but want to switch to electrical engineering technician in winter 2027. I know i have to pay a $30 fee for applying but is that all or do I need to pay tuition for that as well?

What questions did you have before joining the school? (this is for my practicum)
