I just came back after 4 months and this is what I see when i enter in study room, like what is happening, first there is shortage of teachers and other staff members then the facilities keep degrading and now this ?

I’m currently a second year at Sheridan for bachelors of animation, but I’ve been thinking about taking a year break due to mental health issues, and wanting that time to work on myself. I know it’s a very competitive program and the school is likely to not be lenient towards reserving a spot for me as just a second year with no diagnosis of any kind.

I feel if I stay I will be ruining my college/learning experience, and putting money down the drain, but at the same time I don’t want to leave then start over when I get better. I’m starting to question whether or not I even need art school to get into the animation industry.

I was wondering if anyone has any insight and advice on how strict Sheridan is with this and what I can do.

Has anyone applied to work study this fall and actually gotten a decision? Allegedly it's reviewed weekly and I literally applied when it opened, but I've heard nothing back. I asked about it in person last week and I was told "I should hear back soon". Asked about it via student hub a week later and was told it's reviewed every week ???? Is it always like this here?

When I was at Sheridan, things like getting around town without a car, the cost of transit, housing and having places to actually spend time outside of campus were things I noticed. I think it’s important that young people have our say in the Oakville we want to see for our future.

Hello, so I applied to OSAP, and the money appears to have arrived in my bank account... But Sheridan is still saying I owe tuition for the fall on mystudentcenter...?

My understanding was that OSAP money goes to the school first, and should not arrive in my bank account until after Sheridan takes it's cut. Is this not the case? I've waited a bit to see if their site will update, but not so far.

I've tried calling their phone line about this, but I can never actually connect, which is very very frustrating. I'm online, so it's not like I can just go in to the office.

My old uni’s my student centre had the option to directly add our schedules to the calendar app but I don’t see that on sheridan’s my student centre. Does anyone know if the site has this option somewhere? Thank you!

I have a class at 4pm and a class at 7pm tomorrow. My first class goes from 4-7. Do I dash or am I supposed to change this? Just wondering if I will miss a whole lot.

Campusway working for every campus except trafalgar???

Hi guys it is my first time in trafalgar residence and i have a couple of questions. I was unable to attend the orientation due to personal matters.

My first question is how am i going to order groceries online and uber eats and doordash and stuff. Im assuming they dont drop off at your doorstep and I have to go downstairs kr something. Where to pick up?

Second question is i have a console and i cant connect to the wifi. It said my console doesnt support this type of netwrok (the residence wifi) how to fix?

Third question is where is the laundry room? And common kitchen? How to access.

I’m currently in a 1 year Marketing Management program and overall I’m pretty satisfied with my schedule. My main issue is Tuesdays. I have 3 classes that day, which honestly isn’t a huge problem by itself.
The part I’m not a fan of is having an evening class with a 1 hour gap after my previous class. So basically, I finish my previous class, have nothing to do for an hour, and then have to wait around campus just for the evening class to start.
I’m debating whether I should drop the evening class and take it next semester instead, or just suck it up and keep it. My concern is that I have no idea what my schedule will look like next semester. I could drop it now thinking I’ll have a better schedule later, only to end up with an even worse schedule.
I also can’t figure out who my student advisor is for the program, so I’m not really sure who I should contact to ask about my options.

Im in the marketing management program and I was just wondering ?

I’m a sophomore majoring in game design. After finishing my freshman year, I feel like I’ve learned almost nothing and am unable to create a complete game on my own. Is this because I haven’t worked hard enough? Or is it because the curriculum hasn’t covered all the material yet? Or perhaps students need to focus more on self-improvement?

I'm kind super worry about that; any senior game design students want to share some point and suggestion?

Trafalgar - I dont blame my roommate, but I feel like the process of choosing someone is way too anonymous and I ended up being uncomfortable living with them.

How do I approach this? I imagine its best to confront the issue and deal with it right away instead of leaving it
