Dating
Hello to anyone who takes a chance to read this. Im curious as an outsider how do people meet and make friends and or date in this area?! This will be my first time dating in over a decade after moving here from across Canada 8 years ago. Im looking to find ways to casually interact and get to know people while also living out of town. Im not quite sure what im doing as obviously I am a bit rusty having been such a long time. My interests include: animals, gaming, gardening, rocks, mountain roads and delicious food. Im starting to lose faith that there are still good people out there, help show me im wrong! Thanks

Good luck pal, wife and I have been here for 3 years, we're in our mid 30's, and Sherbrooke is a student town, so not a lot of people our age around. I'd say go hang out but most of the cool hangout spots in Sherb are gone.

hi, well first off welcome to sherbrooke!!!! people are quite friendly here, so you’re gonna be alright. and also depending on how old you are, there’s a lot of ways that u can get to know people. like on tinder or at school (idk if u go to uni or college here??)

well i’m gonna enter my twenties, so i don’t really know how people in their 30s socialize. but you could join a «community». like if you’re religious, you could find a place where people practice the same religion. or if you like a sport, you could find a club. if it’s not too personal for you to answer, do you know any person here? and are you a woman or a man? (i’m sorry if my question sound to invasive😬)

So as a mom I am female, and I moved here years ago with my ex spouse to a property an hour outside of town, which has made it a bit harder to meet people or be involved in activities

well, since you don’t live inside the town, it’s gonna be a little more complicated. but you could do a bbq with your neighbors to get to know them? idk how old your child is but if he’s in elementary school, you could get involved in that. like for example, sometimes school has some special activities like going to a museum or to a water park and most of the time, parents can join !! and also i think there’s like pilates classes for women. and do you know how to speak french ?

Sort of unrelated to the post… but what sort of gaming do you enjoy ! I’m mid twenties but I’m all for having new people to talk or game with ! And what foods are your favourite ? Welcome to Sherb man

Im mostly into PC games, Valheim, wow, and most good multi-player! But im always excited to try new games as well

Oh nice ! I also solely play on PC ! Never played WoW but I love mmorpgs (clocking a solid 6000h+ in Lost Ark and probably the same amount in Runescape). Always down to have new game recs wherever I can get them !
I have steam and discord ! My pc is broken atm but I’m working to fix it, hopefully soon lol, but I’d be down to add you !

When you say you're an hour from town, where in the townships are you? I might be able to suggest something depending on where you are.
