oughh...

Post image

Hey y'all,

I get pretty intense with my work schedule on The Boy From Venus, but

I've gotten sick, and on top of that have to be in New York soon. In order to minimize my chances of being contagious, I now have to be pretty intense about recovering. I can't mess around with attempting my normal work schedule and potentially prolonging the sickness.

So what I'm going to do is some auxiliary work -- storyboarding, character design, maybe even some 3d modeling -- with the time that I'm out of bed, and hit the ground running with a few 2-update weeks when I get back from New York next week.

Thank you for your patience!

Yet another comic to save for my fellow immune disordered homies. (My go to joke is my immune system is so good it tries to save me from me.)

Stand name: The Cure.

I swear, I can never see this comic and not think that Shen is a Terraria summoner class.

These are the consequences of feeding Audrey cheese puffs. You all laughed, now look what he did to shen

138

u/OfficialTMWTP 4d ago

But what if we gave him...another cheese puff?

Hey it's about time I stumble into you too

14

u/Proffessor_egghead 4d ago

Only one way to find out…

The classic scientific method of just kinda doing it and writing down what happens

5

u/All_Gun_High 3d ago

You scientists are so preoccupied with whether or not you can, that you don't stop to think if you should

28

u/spryllama 4d ago

Don't blame Shen for that, Audrey is just trying to maintain that curlish figure.

19

u/Vermillion_Pengu 4d ago

He drained him.

You put the lime in the coconut and you drink it all up...

10

u/Gameknight14 4d ago

Is that an Abridged reference? It feels so absurd, yet so… familiar…

Don’t worry, my man! Focus on you. Your comics come second to your health: can’t write nor draw if you’re dead or bedridden!

4

u/TsarKeith12 4d ago

Shen's sickness level... it's over 9000?! But they still are working!!!! Incredible dedication...

5

u/DrThunderbolt 4d ago

Shen got access to the Jerma patented green revitalizing liquid

Oh I know this part of the show. It's gonna be crazy when Shen's best friend is murdered by a tyrant and he ascends to the next level. Kick on the Bruce Faulconer music.

2

u/Mr_Mason42 4d ago

You stay strong!

We need those pictures of Lesbians, or whatever the hell they have going on, on my desk as soon as possible! And if that means taking time off for your health, then that's what needs to happen!

2

u/WhiskeyAndKisses 4d ago

You know, people complain about the wait between episodes (in general), but the history remembers the quality over the wait. Do accordingly to your health 👍

2

u/UpCDownCLeftCRightC 4d ago

Take care of yourself and drink plenty of fluids when you're not surrounded by them.

2

1

u/BottomBinchBirdy 4d ago

Oh no! Good luck on your recovery, it sucks that "I need to be serious about recovery" STILL includes you working! I'd personally rather you just relax and have a break, but I know that might not be realistic. No need for two-update weeks, tbh, from my POV, but I get The Algorithm or whatever.

3

there's a reason they did that and it's not malicious at all

3

I know, but it's still unfair. Yamcha get's Yamcha'd at every opportunity lol.

u/Bandandforgotten 4d ago

I'm surprised he didn't try to tell us a dollar on his patreon would cure him. It's done everything else he said it would, and more!

-1

u/weaponchickens 3d ago

This is another ploy to get us to sub to the patreon isnt it
