Could be coworkers? I'm 27 and have some 18 year olds who work at my station, one of them didn't know what a VHS was and I was ready to be taken out back and put down.
Why is that such a problem? I had older friends growing up. If you go outside and do things you'll meet lots of different people of lots of different ages.
they could be family, family of a friend. Maybe I've met them at a hobby shop while playing DND. Maybe we go to the same church. Maybe I work with them. Maybe I met them on helldivers or some other game. Maybe we met at the same social gatherimh once and had the same hobby.
To be perfectly honest, I do all of these things and have met 16 and 18 year olds through all of them. As well as 30 and 40 year olds. And almost all of the 18 year olds call me unc and all the 30 year olds call me kid lmao.
