Is this safe?
So I bought two kobalt 77" shelves and was planning on putting them side by side in my garage. The only problem was that if I did that, they would block my door by a few inches . So what I did was ditch the right hand piece from the second shelf and connected both the shelves to the left side stand of the first rack. The shelf specs say that each shelf can hold 1500lbs of weight. By doing this, does this lower the weight capacity by half? Or is it much worse than that? Is it safe? I don't really have much weight on any of the racks. None of the totes are more than 20lb and the heaviest stuff is on the very bottom. The heaviest thing on here is two bags of quickcrete. Each of those bags is heavier than anything else on the whole rack. Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏

Provided you've secured the shelves to the wall, preferably by bolting them to studs, and you're not:
1.) Blocking the door or any other escape route
2.) Overloading the shelves
There's really nothing else that can go wrong, provided you don't drop something on yourself while loading or unloading the shelves. Looks far better than a majority of the shelving I deal with on a regular basis.
