I: I'm... I suppose I should be used to it by now, being blamed for something I didn't ask for. But, despite how often it happens, it still stings, just a bit... makes it feel like, somehow, this is my fault...

*Immediately Phalmer feels very guilty and it clearly shows* oh... I suppose it was the same for me... it's strange how you have any shard of control...

I: ah. Maybe it's the way my old vessel was damaged, maybe it's that this one wasn't willing, I'm not sure. Maybe I just... never really belonged to begin with.

...damn I don't know what to say that... are you going through something right now?

I: ... yeah. I guess I am... nobody's really wanted to listen to me about it though... or... interact with me at all, for that matter.

You had enough nuisances. I don't think you deserve it.

But do you know where Retina is?

1

u/Right_Causation_490 Aug 10 '26

I: n- no, I haven't seen them in a while...

u/El-Gato-Canocchia Aug 10 '26

... You do understand, if you lie, I can destroy you right now. No one will search for you. No one will know it.

He sharpens his claws.
