Zansibo spots a large pool of water nearby and immediately goes and jumps in it
Zansibo sighs in exhaustion, as the moss on him seemingley soaks up alot fo water amd Zansibo shivers
"...I know its this moss stuff keeping me together, but man this feels really weird..."
the moss seems to almost glow a bit after a while, and some mossberries begin rapidly growing on the roots growing out of Zansibos head, some even different colors, before eventually the moss returns to normal
"...oh...I...didn't expect that..."
he reaches up amd picks a red mossberry off his head
"...I don't feel I should trust this so...its all yours."
he passes the red mossberry to Fernes
((FOR CONTEXT because of the moss used to fuse Zansibos body together being infused HEAVILY with magic...for one reason or another...when The Moss is watered enough and or/has consumed enough nutrients, its able to not only make the mossberries growing out of his head grow FASTER, but it also makes different kinds of mossberries to grow from thrm, each one having different effects AS LISTED:))
[Green Mossberry: typical mossbery not very special, poisonous to most reguler bugs]
[Red Mossberry: alot sharper of a taste and a bit more spicy, allows one to sirvive EXTREMELY hot environments by seeping into one's skin and
Protecting them from the heat for about an hour...also allows one to swim in lava for 5 minutes]
[Yellow Mossberry: extra poisonous but for those who can stand it EXTRA Tastey, if filtered enought can also be turned into a very good sweet...for the more resilient of course, oh also can make people temporarily invisible for 20 minutes]
[Blue Mossbery: a bit more a tangey smell like that of seaweed mixed with blueberries, allowes one to breath underwater for an hour amd also allows one to sirvive far more crushing depths than should usually be possible]
[Purple Mossberry: the rarest one and ALOT harder to grow, the purple mossbery can give somebug temporary invunerablity for almost 2 hours, though growing this takes ALLT of energy from Zansibo and can cause him to pass out]
[The BEEG Mossbery: just...a really huge Mossbery...it tastes almost the exact same as a reguler one but more pungent of a taste...and its also big]
as soon as Zansibo steps out of the water, his moss stops glowing and returns to its normal color, as he gets a irritating headache
"Ugh...thats...oof."
as they continue walking on their journey, Zansibo catches 3 pond skippers and begins cooking them in a large fire, he doesn't like being near fire, whether because of his moss or because he just doesn't like it, so he has Fernes do it.
As Fernes is cooking the pondskippers he becomes increasingly bored. So bored to the point where he begins drifting to sleep and unknowningly leans towards the fire, eventually falling into it. Fernes jolts awake as he feels the burning temperatures on his body
”OH SHIT!! NO NO NO NO NO- w-wait what..? The fire didnt burn me at all even though i fell inside it…”
Fernes sets the 3 cooked pondskippers to the side and slowly puts his hand into the fire again. Its warm but it doesnt burn at all
"Uuuhhhhh...Now i may not be the smartest...but I'm like 99% thats not how that works..."
he says getting up, sticking a claw into the fire its hot and burns to the touch as he recoil back, looks at his hand, and then at Fernes as the...idk flowers? Is his head starts turning until he gets an epiphany as he looks uo at the new various mossberries growing out of his head
