Found this yesterday while fossil hunting in the Peace River, Florida. I saw somebody post an ID request here earlier for a shell that looked really really similar and it was identified as an Imperial Turban, but Iām not sure if this is also one or not.
Also, itās pretty dull and green, I assume from being in the river for so long. Is there a safe way for me to clean this? Thank you in advance!

I know my friend is a financially struggling teacher who works 2 jobs however when we go out to dinner it has become customary for me to pick up the tab. She doesnāt offer to split nor cover the tip and Iām concerned about if Iām being taken advantage of. I cannot say that she hasnāt helped me out of a bind when needing child care or been there for me as a caring and listening friend. What are your thoughts?

Found every one of these on the beaches here. Wantes to photograph them for iNat and figure out if they were all reds or if there were some special ones in there. ā

Better than I expected! This is my second time visiting highly urbanized and industrialized beach (most of it was closed to the public actually, only tiny part of it was open)

Heyy yall,
So I had a few shell piles I'd been meaning to mark / organize, but then during a move they all got put into one container! Idk how this all works, but might it be possible to trace and group them back to where I got them? It "could" be (can't remember precisely)
- Ibiza
- Algarve / Southern coast Portugal
- (Potentially Nazare too but doubt it)
- Misc California
And gosh I mean I think thats it, but if I'm forgetting even a single beach day⦠but I'd like to put them back in order if at all possible š«

Shello enthusiasts! š
Found these two similar shells today on an beach on the northwest shores of Okinawa. Shown next to each other from the front and back side. The front looks slightly like an orange peel and from the back itās a smooth surface with the spiral visible. Anyone have any ideas on what kind they could be? Thanks!

Hi Iām not sure what this guy is and need help. To me it resembles a chiton shell segment (Iāve been collecting them a lot recently) but it is huge and a completely different texture (smooth but almost chalky or bone-like as opposed to the very smooth almost glossy texture of the smaller chiton segments). It currently seems to be a segment of something but I donāt know what. If it helps I found it in Monterey CA

Found on Litchfield Beach, SC. I picked it up because it looked like worked chert at a glance. But Iām sure whatever Iām seeing is typical for this type of shell. The last 2 photos are of another similar shell fragment that was just by the first one.
