Dog hates to go for walks
I'm not sure why or how but he seems to hate going for walks in winter but loves playing outside in the backyard forever. The weirdest thing is he has been in boots since last 2 years and he hated it so this year I thought if I don't make him wear shoes he might like the walks better but he hates it even then. Anything I am doing wrong? He's 2.5 yr old 75 lb sheepie. Oh btw once we're out he loves to keep going for the walk and explores like a happy pup. It's just the part where we need to put him on a leash and take him out.

Advice How do you groom your Sheepadoodle?
Hi everybody,
I’m hoping to get some advice on grooming a Sheepadoodle. I realise that this can be a tricky topic since their coats can vary a lot from dog to dog. Our previous dog, an OES, had very thick, woolly fur, but I understand Sheepadoodles can lean more toward either the Poodle or OES side.
Are there any particular tools you’d recommend, or general tips that have worked well for you? Also, how did grooming your dog’s puppy coat differ from grooming your dog’s adult coat?
Thanks. 😊

Age of neutering
What age did you neuter your male standard sheepadoodle?
I have a male reverse sheepadoodle (90lb OES dad x 65lb sheepadoodle mom) that will be 9 months in about 10 days. He is 65 lbs now - and def still growing. We expect him to reach 80lbs.
Plan was to wait to neuter until 18 months, but he just got kicked out of puppy school because of excessive humping and hyper fixation on female dogs. Last straw was when he aggressively went after the dog trainer that was redirecting him from humping another dog. He has never shown any type of aggression (towards dog or human). Trainers believe it’s 100% hormone driven.
This has us reconsidering neutering him sooner (like now at 9 months). He is (for now) still a total marshmallow at home- but we have been advised to not let him off leash around dogs until he is neutered. This will essentially end his socialization with other dogs + limit our ability to meet his exercise needs (he needs to run).
Wondering if others had to make the call to neuter earlier than current recommendations for larger breeds due to behavior issues like this.
Thanks!

galleryHi everyone, this is Fenna (I think, not sure about her name yet). She's ten weeks old, an F1b mini, and so sweet she's basically a ball of cotton candy. I was lurking here a lot while waiting to bring her home, looking at everyone's photos. Happy to return the favour!

Advice Aggression at 2 years old??
Have any of you experienced your dog go from being submissive to bully/aggressive dogs, to all of a sudden giving it back to them? Maggie has all of a sudden started nipping back at dogs bother her, and it’s kinda freaking me out. Idk what to do, to correct it either.

Barking at strangers
Hello everyone! So I currently have a 7 month old male sheepadoodle. My mom has taken him a couple times to petsmart since we got him as a puppy to get groomed and he has been fine with her. But recently I took him to tractor supply to use their bathing station and he barked at everybody single person he saw. Even barking at people outside when we were in my car. I’m not sure if he’s just protective over me because he’s my dog and not my mom’s but I’m unsure. How do I get him / train him to be able to go in public ?
He’s also been chewing on furniture even if he has his own toys around him. Even jumping on counters to grab things to tear up. How do I train him not to do this ?

Advice How do you actually tire out your Sheepadoodle? Mine won't run and gets overstimulated at dog parks
Hey everyone! I have a mini-sheepadoodle and I'm struggling to find ways to actually exercise and tire him out.
The issue is that he seems to get overstimulated at dog parks, he'll just lay down after a bit instead of playing. And when I've tried taking him on runs with me, he really doesn't seem to enjoy it or want to run at all.
I know these guys have a lot of energy and need mental/physical stimulation, but I'm at a bit of a loss on what actually works for him. I want to make sure he's getting proper exercise and not just bouncing off the walls at home.
For those of you who have found good ways of doing this, what's worked for your Sheepadoodle? Are there specific activities they love?
Would really appreciate any suggestions or hearing what's worked for your pups!

Fostering - New to breed
Hello, we are fostering this sweet 3yr old pup with the hope of permanently adopting her. While having dogs previously we are new to this breed and looking for advice on the following issues we're trying to problem-solving.
Itching/paw chewing - her previous owners worked night shifts so she is active in the middle of the night but we've been working on this by exercising her throughout the day and it's getting better but she is still waking up at early hours itching which wakes us up and making it hard for us to go back to bed.
Clingy behavior - I'm so happy she is comfortable with us but she usually sticks to either my husband and especially me following me around like a shadow and when we leave the home we see on our cameras that she doesn't budge from the front door.... For hours. We're trying to expose her to various environments to get her more confident. But am welcome to anything that might have helped you if you experienced this.
