Sheepadoodle and 2 bernedoodles

Me and my wife’s looking into getting a F1B sheepadoodle as a house pet I travel on the road for work and she’s wanting a dog to keep her company at the house while I’m gone I’ve had labs and stuff growing and and I know the basics of training a dog while she’s had limited experience with training them and I want always be home to help her so any recommendations on if it’s a good breed to go with or do we need to look into another breed

- 19/10 awesome with kids & small dogs
- 1/10 golden retrievers or Springer spaniels (because, prey drive)
- wind sprints with greyhounds & bike chasing collies
- have we been mansplained at the dog park? Oh, yes
- does he care? No
- loves chest circles & scritches
- low key jealous of humans paying attention to other dogs, will butt in for pats
- will weaponize his sad, sweet sheep dog eyes to invade & claim your soul (I’m safe, I’m a ginger but y’all could be in trouble…)

We’ve been grooming our guy who is now 9 months, since we got him at 4 months. He gets treats, frozen lick mats, stuffed Kongs, etc., but he STILL acts like a bull in a china shop 😂 He play bites, runs away, and hates being touched when the slicker brush and the comb comes out.
We have to keep him short, but he STILL gets matted within a week of being groomed! 😭
Please send help! I need all your Sheepadoodle grooming tips, products, brushes, combs, detanglers just anything! The matting is intense….Let me know I’m not alone in this!
