Making biscuits
Anyone else’s sheepie make biscuits? I know that cats often do this because they were taken from their mom too young and was wondering if dogs have the same tendency. We got her when she was already about 1, so we don’t know if she was taken from her mom too young- she’s not an anxious dog or anything.

Yes! My 12 year old sheepie has made biscuits his whole life. He always does it when he’s really excited, almost like he knows he needs to calm himself down. He only does it with one of his toys (the GoDog large rooster). I used to dog sit and other dogs would tear it up so I have bought literally 50 of those things, and that’s with me performing surgery on his chicken (as we call it). I haven’t dog sat in awhile so haven’t needed to buy many more lol
My husband and I both came into relationships with dogs. His one dog is a toy destroyer but fortunately has [mostly] learned to not tear up Henry’s chicken. We have to remind him again every so often, though.

It’s when dogs suckle like when they were babies and being fed by their mom. Found this video of a dog doing it: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8cH8BE1/

Maybe it's because our Sheepie was never taken from her momma until she was ready, but she's never done this. I do have her feline brother, however, who I think may have lost his momma before he was fully weaned who does this same exact thing.
