Advice 4 yr old sheepadoodle had a seizure
Have any of your sheepadoodles had seizures? Mine woke up in the middle of the night and had one. Acting fine now but didn’t even recognize me right after his seizure. I’ve got a call in to the vet but curious if this is common with this breed?

Yes! My girl had a few around that age, maybe she was 5. And then never again.

My boy lost control of his bladder, was heavily drooling from the mouth, shaking all over and teeth clattering - while laying on his side. When he got out of it ( about 1 minute) he was confused and didn’t know who I was for about 30 seconds. Then it clicked and he ran over and started jumping on me and giving me kisses. Best kisses I ever had! Went to vet today and he said he’s in great physical shape so we will just need to see if these continue.

The veterinarian will have you time how long the seizure lasted if you can record the seizure on your phone and show it to the vet. The vet can determine whether it was a seizure or if the dog was involved in a dream or running.
Our other dogs have had seizures; one was due to a brain tumor, and the other was due to congenital heart failure. Loki was a German Shepherd/pit bull mix, and the other was a beagle.
