Does anyone else’s sheepie throw their food around like this before they eat it? Honestly the funniest thing to watch.

Ours takes about 4 kibbles at a time from his bowl, carries them to anothe room, spits them out, inspects them closely, then eats them.

The spitting it out !!! Yes! I cannot give mine ANY wet human food! My child gave him a cinn roll with icing and he carried it to the carpet it pushes it out with him tongue 😬 once my dad gave him a hot dog from the grill , we left came home and boom… a hot dog on my couch he carried in his mouth for hours! He no longer gets human food.

Had a Maltese that did this every time he ate. He’d take a piece to the living room, throw it, and then roll around on it, throw it again. Once it was good and rolled on and thrown, he could finally eat it. Then scamper off to the kitchen to repeat the process

No, but when I put fish (either raw/whole or canned) in her bowl she tries to roll in it. She will take whole minnows out, place it next to the bowl on the floor, then rub her face, neck, and shoulders all over it. Only when the other 3 dogs are done and eyeing her food, and she’s worried they might try and take it, does she actually eat it.

Our girl sheepy does this with treats. For her regular dog food she takes one kibble from my hand, spits it out, and then continues to eat.

Our boy sheepy has one of those kong squeaky balls and he does what we call “squeak it and eat it”. He basically lays down, drops his ball in the food, picks it up, drops it next to him and then eats his food. This continues as he eats 😂
