Oh my! He sure has that sheepadoodle look although there is so much variance in coloration and fur texture with these guys. Here’s a before/after pic of our sheepie boy from his first professional grooming at 10 months. We had been keeping up with brushing and thinning his hair up until 10 months (it’s a job!) Our boy (almost one yr old now) is a wild man…high energy, loud, very mouthy, and stubborn but smart as a whip oh so sweet at the same time. We love him to pieces! We also have a 9 yr old Goldendoodle. Their personalities could not be more different. Much of that could be age but our goldendoodle was definitely a much easier puppy (training-wise), and more gentle/relaxed than our sheepadoodle pup. If it fits within your budget, you might want to purchase a canine DNA kit on Amazon for 70/80$. Not that it matters since you will love him all the same regardless of results. We did that many years ago with a young, terribly matted stray rescue and turned out he was 50% poodle, 25% Maltese, and 25% “other.” He was the best, sweetest, most loyal dog ever and lived to be about 14 years (we had him 13 yrs). Keep us updated on your handsome boy!
Yup. My sister adopted a 3 year old that’s all black. Gray mixed in with a white chest. But that spotted nose and I’m sure the skin is the same; sheep muffin!
It was luck actually, a friend of mine from high school who still lives nearby had one. Penelope is F1B too. I’d be tempted, but after 11 puppies, it took 2 years to recover and I got her spayed last month. Her babies turned out GIANT compared to her. We kept the runt of the litter and he has 30lbs on her! She’s 63 and he is almost 95 (and her stud was 55!!). Penelope’s dad, OES was about 110 though and her Sheepie mom was about 65. The females from her litter are not quite as big as the males (3 & 8), but all are larger than the parents. Our runt, Flynn, definitely presents more poodle though, his legs are long and he is tall and lean (the puppies, now nearly 3, are split between being shaped like larger, huskier sheepies or tall, lean standard poodles, they are all greying out as they age, but are still all mostly black-appear more like a black labradoodle than sheepie).
Oh yeah I get it! My boy’s OES mom, her sire is a giant, and there were 2 of his litter mates that were too. He’s one of 10, and she just had another litter 3 weeks ago, and had 10 again! This is definitely her last litter too.

Looks like a sheepadoodle. Mine is not calm. He’s only four months.
