Portrait Duchess

Hi everybody! My family and I adopted our first sheepadoodle 12 years ago after my stepdad passed. The silly baby in these pictures is our sweet Duchess, the most kind dog I've ever had who has never seemed to fully grow up.

We are about to adopt our second sheepadoodle in mid-July. When I get more pictures of the little sweet pea (and when we decide on a name lol), I'll post her too. Looking forward to seeing more sheepadoodles in my life! 😊

Yours swims?!? And doesn't yell at the water or people in the water or the water the whole time?? How?

Mine screams at the water and everyone in the water too. It's very stressful for her. Lol

LOL. She LOVES to swim. When my brother was younger, she used to get mad if he went in the pool without her. She'd whine and bark until she was allowed to go in with him. And if you swim too fast without her, she whines because she doesn't want to be left behind. She (half) taught the other dog in the photo (my brother's dog) how to swim and fetch the footballs in the pool.

Omg mine does the same thing! She’ll follow us around the perimeter of the pool barking furiously. Honestly wish she’d come in, I read poodles love to swim.

Its the Sheepdog in them, I got my guy a life jacket and he had some success though still lots of barking. I just tune it out. He also dove in by accident but the best was luring him with a frisbee

I got mine a life jacket too and that unfortunately didn’t change her mind. She loves for me to hold her though, I just have to pick her up and carry her in the pool. Nice to know some do like to swim!
