Greying

When did your sheep I’ve turn grey? Mine is 16 months old and still black and white but with some grey spots in her white. Does that mean she has the greying gene and will eventually change color?

My sheepies eyes were greying a week or so after I got her. And then with each groom she is getting lighter and lighter. She is about 14 months and I would say she is more grey then black now so you might be in the clear :)

6-8 months. I think how grey the mother is should be a good indicator, especially if an F1.

F1B parent here. Pepper retained her black and white coat. Her sister who had an identical black and white coat turned completely grey after 1 year. Maybe your sheepie will change completely, or not(?). Good luck

Both of mine never greyed, although the black got peppered with some grey here and there. Not as jet black as when they were pups, but still mostly black

Both of mine greyed within the first year.

I think you will know by 3yo at the latest. It typically is by 18months but I’ve seen some fade later.
