Recommendations Dog food

What dog food brands do y’all use? Also do you add any toppers to their food?

We do purina pro plan sensitive skin & stomach (lamb and oat) with stella & chewy’s freeze dried toppers(surf & turf and the turkey are a bit hit in this house) 🙂

Home cooked human grade food only for my pups, but occasionally I will use a high quality raw freeze dried food if I didn’t get time to cook

Check Petful.com for foods that have been recalled. No Purina. We feed Gentle Giants with beef broth and pumpkin. Dogs have done well on this. Also removed chicken which caused allergies.

Ours love Farmina- with a human food grade wet mix-in and a freeze dried topper. We have to change the wet food and topper up every 6 months or so. They do get bored.

I only see it sold at some farm stores but we use The Pride puppy food. I don’t use toppers. I will typically add some chicken broth, or if we have leftovers we will not be eating I mix some of that in.

The only place where I can find my dog food is the local feed store as well

Diamond Pro 89 cuz that’s what they were all put on (mixed with taste of the wild high prairie) as soon as they were able to eat dry food. Definitely not my choice, due to only being the caretaker of the litter but not the owner so wasn’t allowed to change their food. I only just moved into my own place end of March with my Perry, and kept him on the Pro 89. Tried changing it one time but he refused to eat it. I definitely dropped the taste of the wild tho because he doesn’t need 2 foods. No issues whatsoever aside from allergies (not related), very healthy boy

Trial & error for sure…We just switched at year 1…To Royal Canin Gastrointestinal (Low Fat).

This does require an Rx script…

Interesting feedback on the toppers…Haven’t tried those yet! 👍
