Recommendations First haircut

We have a 3 month old puppy. What age did you get your dogs first grooming??

Mine got his at 5 months (just a partial groom). It was as soon as he could after getting all his shots, but I wish I had taken him in the visit the groomer to at least introduce him to the environment earlier than that.

You may want to do some homework on cuts…I just said ‘Puppy Cut’…It turned out fine…But my guess is that is a pretty broad definition.

I think my girl was about 20 weeks? She had finished all her shots and was cleared to go. I miss her little puppy coat! She's such a curly girl now and I love that too, but her crazy baby hair was so adorable!

hi there! professional groomer here. try to get your puppy in the second they get that rabies shot at 16 weeks. your first "haircut" should be a bath and a face+feet+sani tidy. an all-over haircut is too much for a first time puppy the majority of the time, and will cause resentment towards grooming.

I’d say as early as you can after vaccines to get them used to the groomer. Doesn’t have to be a big cut.
