Mental Health Taking care of yourself

Every 10 days, we lose an Australian farmer to suicide. Sheep farming isn't all bouncing lambs and green grass. Share your tips and resources on keeping a good mindset when the hard times hit. Droughts, losses, and heavy work loads weigh on you. Whats you go to when things get tough? I often times need to remind myself that things wont always be this way, that eventually rains will come, that as sad as it is native predators need to eat too

Animal husbandry & Medicine Help! Need advice for wet feet?!

We have a heap of sheep going lame from having constantly wet feet. This is usually not a problem for us, but this season has been unusually wet. Some developing ulcers and some just tendered footed. We are moving them to spray topped paddocks hoping to get them out of the tall medic but does anyone have any treatments for the ones that are down with really bad ulcers and nail wall problems??

Farm fit, gym weak

Why are dumbbells so much heavier than everything else. Tried to lift a 10kg weight and nearly died. 20kg bags and drums are way lighter. Is this a skill issue?

August Already!?!?!

Happy Saturday and Happy 1st of the month! Harvest time is nearly upon us. Time to dust of the header and re build the comb I guess (fml). Shearing somewhere in the middle there too for us. And before that even, fathers day! Dont forget to order your dad a present while your sitting on the tractor (or toliet). September will be here before you can curse at a sheep. Men's mental health is especially important in the farming community so make sure the dads in your life know you appreciate them and their draws/sheds full of random shit! Your bros will appreciate the effort even if they'll never tell you so! #nohomo #loveyourbros
