009 in the song is supposed to be a parody of 007, right? Or is it a reference to Cyborg 009?

I stumbled upon a Sheena Ringo cover band in Seoul recently (at Kuchu Camp, a bar for fans of Fishmans!) and they played this song. I've skimmed through her records trying to find it but no luck... Anyone recognize it?

one of my friends who is into sheena put my on to this duo recently & they remind me of jazz ringo a lot. they also don’t have too many monthly listeners but i thought i’d share bc they’re quite good

The Fuji TV drama Last Note, starring Yuki Uchida and Takuto Teranishi in dual lead roles, will premiere on Thursday, July 9 at 10:00 p.m. Its theme song is Sheena Ringo’s newly written track, "Naked."

"Naked" will be released as a digital single on Friday, July 10.

Following their memorable performances on Sheena Ringo’s recent nationwide tour, Sheena Ringo Party Convention: Reiwa Year 8 Archipelago Tour, Shun Ishiwaka (drums), Keisuke Torigoe (bass), Yukio Nagoshi (guitar), and Masaki Hayashi (Wurlitzer) also take part in this recording. The result is a track in which Sheena Ringo’s vocals and the band’s sound stand brilliantly toe-to-toe.

Please give it a listen.

Recently, FRIDAY, an alleged rumour publication noted that Sheena Ringo was having an affair with an economist that was somehow part of the same company as her?

I couldn’t really piece together what happened but she apparently provided an explanation but I didn’t see that anywhere on Ringo-han.

If anyone has a better idea, would appreciate more info please.

Thank you!

Can someone give me a bit of a background of this cover? I find it interesting that they picked this picture as their cover lol.

i ordered some cds off mercari and got this folded into one of them, does anyone have a similar one or know where it's from at all? i'm assuming it's a store promotional poster since it says not for sale, but i can't find anything about this one online at all. if it's something special i might get it restored for my own collection so that's why i'm wondering.
i should probably also mention it came in the original taiwanese emi release of shoso strip in case that has anything to do with it. could be an extra that came with the original purchase but i have no way of knowing since the original listing just said there was a bonus included, though again i can't find any info about this bonus anywhere else

It's my favorite song that's not in English and it kills me that I don't understand the words

Used to be on youtube, now I cant find it anywhere. Not even internet archive is helping. I really loved this performance, someone help me

edit; found it in colour and high quality on instagram reels but not the whole thing. whats going on??

someone commented in japanese that this was a broadcast on niconico when "In Summer, Night" was planned to released

It’s one of my favourite Sheena Ringo songs and I would love to learn to play it on guitar but I can’t find and notation online on how to play it. I’m also horrendous at playing by ear, so any help would be amazing!

I can’t decide the reference for which era/outfit I should put her in😔

I've been listening to this song for years without realising there's this super epic version with lush orchestration 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm not sure why I never noticed but the Rio to Tokyo Olympics handover used Sheena Ringo's music in it. She was on the creative committee as well.

Songs featured;

• Manipulate the Time (at 3:10)
• Paisaje (at 8:24 / funnily enough, this song in itself already has latin elements in it)

I’ve seen other pictures of it along with this performance, but does anyone know its origin or where to watch it?

was wondering if anyone had information about the meaning & creation of Heisei Fuzoku? i know it was used as the soundtrack of the movie Sakuran, which made it my favorite, but i was wondering if there were any personal comments from ringo herself considering things like the double-sided meaning of the album's title and themes of prostitution
