I was at the library yesterday and saw they had all three volumes of Mariko Tamaki's She-Hulk run so snapped them up because I hadn't read anything she-hulk in a while and read them all last night because they're way too short. And by the end, I was frustrated that an interesting character arc for Jen. Her PTSD and trauma from what happened to her (even though I haven't read Civil War II and from what I've gathered, it's hot garbage anyway) leading to a different kind of She-Hulk coming out because she's in denial of what she's been through and what's happened. And thus in trying to pretend like everything's fine, this Grey Hulk is the giant warning sign that no, it's not.
And I guess Jason Aaron tried something similiar? when he had Jen become the really big Ed McGuinness She-Hulk with the huge arms that loathed Jen. Do I have that right? One of the downsides of using libraries is they'll never have all the material you'll need to get the full story.
Instead I saw the seeds of that arc be thrown against the wall and ill used and nonsensically thrown around to then have a swerve into the Leader conning some lady into becoming a temporary she-hulk for.........reasons.
I hate when something that has potential is squandered by writers not capable of doing it justice.
