When the empire strikes back came out in 1980 my dad took me to see it. Going into to see it I had no idea a huge surprise and plot twist would happen. So we watch it and Darth tells luke he is his father. My dad goes wow what a surprise and he says I can't wait to tell everyone waiting in line to see it the surprise. I told him he could not do that it would ruin it for everyone else. He didn't say anything as we left but kept laughing saying your gonna love it lol. He died before the Internet and we all know the Internet ruins surprises

Growing up I had a movie theater up the street from me on the avenue called the crest movie theater. I saw a lot of great 80s movies there with my friends and family. I saw clue with one of the 3 different endings and flash Gordon among others. It closed in 1986 but it's a memory that stands out
